The Revealed Countenance of YHWH!

What is the role of the Messiah?

What is the difference between the Spirit of the Messiah and the Spirit that the Messiah and the Father send to us?

What is the relationship between Consciousness & Unconsciousness?

How does Yeshua interceded between God & Man?

Where did the Messiah ascend to?

How do we reconcile the Kingdom of God being within us with the conflict of good and evil?

Behold and praise His NAME, Yeshua Adonai YHWH

Book 3-The Countenance of YHWH:

Chapter 1-"...and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold..."

Key Points:

  • Most believers still do not understand the work of the Messiah...
  • Most believers still do not understand the "nature" of all things...
  • Most believers still do not understand the difference between the Ruach of the Messiah and the Ruach that comes from the Messiah and the Father.
  • Most believers still do not understand what a Prophet does for YHWH
  • Most believers still do not understand the difference between YHWH and Countenance
  • Most believers still do not understand where Yeshua ascended to and what His Divine service between YHWH and man is...
  • We must advance from milk (symbols/images) to meat (meaning)
  • We must come to understand how Yeshua (the Ruach of Prophecy) intercedes between the Father and man and provides us the Spirit of Truth (Ruach Hakodesh)
  • We must come to understand how Prophets are an interpreter for the Father (unconscious mind) seeing and hearing His images (symbols, images & parables) and translating that communication into countenances (conscious minds-image of YHWH)-"Thus saith the Lord"
  • We can now see why Yeshua taught in parables (images and symbols) and translated that communication from the Father (unconscious mind) to those redeemed by Yeshua
  • We must come to understand why prophecy is likened to speaking in tongues and needing an interpreter to edify the people.
  • That Yeshua ascended within us, not just up into the air.
  • We can also finally understand how the tree (Yeshua the Messiah-Image of YHWH) dipped into the bitter waters (unconscious mind) makes them sweet and living waters (conscious minds-countenances)
  • We will also see how the "eye" is a symbol/image of the soul (consciousness) and why Yeshua insisted on having the eyes "look up" and be covered in His spittle and mud (physical manifestation) so the blind can now see.
  • We will see how, "...we have a more sure word of Prophecy".
  • Why Babylon of the book of Revelation is an image of physical reality, fallen and corrupted, full of confused and broken imagery.
  • Why the countenance of the King is commanded by the King to tell him the dream and the interpretation thereof and how this relates to Pilate's question to Yeshua, "What is Truth?" The King is prophetic of the one YHWH (Unconscious Mind) and the ascended dream interpreter-Messiah (conscious mind) is made equal to the king in all but the throne. YHWH has commanded us to tell Him His dream (manifestation/creation) and what His dream means!
  • The Messiah's role is to interpret for YHWH and Man through the Ruach of Prophecy (Spirit of the Lord) and send us the Ruach Hakodesh (the Spirit of Truth)!
    • Revelation 19:  10And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

How does one behold the face of the unobservable? The scriptures are clear that YHWH is everywhere. He is light and life. Are we hearing what the prophets have said to us? We must look closely at the images presented in the Torah, Tanach, and the Brit Chadasha (Renewed Testament) to understand the hidden secrets that YHWH has given to those who know him. He, like any wise one, has hidden them right before our eyes.

We have learned in previous chapters about the mysteries of the manifest universe and the truth of Paul's statements about how we abide in YHWH.

Acts 17: 23, For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.  24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;  25Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;  26And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;  27That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:  28For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.  29Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

Paul teaches on so many mysteries here that are barely comprehended by most Christians and Jews today. Notice Paul affirms that YHWH made the world and all things there in and that He is "Lord" of all; that He dwells not in temples made with hands and he gives life and breath. He also confirms that He is not far from every one of us. He also confirms that in Him we live and have our being. Paul goes on to confirm we are the offspring of God (Elohim) and that most people are confused about what the Godhead is like. He further clarifies that many misunderstand that the Godhead is like unto something crafted by a man, in particular made of gold and silver, or stone. We will examine what the Torah and the Prophets say about the Godhead and what the prophecies of Daniel, Joseph, and Yeshua have to do with the "Countenance of YHWH".

Most people read the prophecies of Joseph, Daniel, and Yeshua and view their final fulfillment in relation to the end-times and the second coming of Christ. Though I would not debate that these prophecies may be related to those times, I would propose that they are not their highest prophetic meaning. Once you understand that we and all things in the universe are less "creation" and more accurately "manifestation" of YHWH, you will begin to see and understand the deeper mysteries of what YHWH is doing in the world. All that we see and are a part of is a manifestation of YHWH. As the Torah says about the temple being a pattern of heavenly things, all earthly things are patterns or images of God (YHWH).

Hebrews 8:  4For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:  5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.  6But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

The difficulty that arises for the modern Christian and Jew is thinking outside our current understanding of the universe and our assumptions about how they came to be. We must, as always, rely upon the scriptures to define their own meanings. To get caught up in historical dogma is to sidetrack the thought processes with doctrinal positions instead of inspired symbols and images. Abandon your assumptions and learn to hear what the Ruach (spirit) has to say to you.

Isaiah 30: 20And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:  21And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.  22Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

So we already have a hint from Isaiah that we will be able to hear the voice of YHWH giving us instruction and hearing His voice will lead us to destroy our inaccurate images of YHWH (our "graven images"), recognizing them as being unclean and defiled. So let's go back to the Torah and one of the great appearances of YHWH to understand the imagery that is presented and what that imagery tells us about how YHWH manifests himself in us and in all creation (manifestation). Surely the account of Moses is reliable when it comes to knowing if he is worshiping the true God (YHWH). If Moses bows to God (YHWH), you would think Jews and Christians would accept his testimony as being accurate and true. Let's examine Moses' encounter with YHWH on top of the mountain before the burning bush.

Exodus 3: 1Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.2And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.  3And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.  4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.  5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.  6Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.  7And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;  8And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.  9Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.  10Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.  11And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?  12And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.  13And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?  14And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.  15And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Let's take note of the established facts of Moses' own testimony of His first encounter with God the Father (YHWH):

  • Moses sees a bush on fire, but the bush is not burnt.
  • The Angel of YHWH appears to Moses in the Burning bush.
  • "YHWH" saw Moses turn aside and YHWH called to Moses from the Bush.
  • YHWH instructs Moses, "Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground." Remember this because you will see this same exact instruction given to Joshua!
  • The voice from the burning bush declares, "I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob"
  • Moses is afraid, "Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God".
  • God the Father/YHWH, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, declares, "I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians"
  • God further declares that released Israel will "serve" Him upon this very mountain.
  • Moses is instructed to declare God the Father's name to Israel while in Egypt so that they might come and serve Him, "and shall say unto them, "The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?  14And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM"".
  • God the Father, YHWH the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob declares His name to Moses out of the burning bush for Israel to hear, " God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever"

Exodus 3 shows the Presence of YHWH the Father as fire in the burning bush on the mountain with His voice speaking and declaring His name to Israel as Moses serves Him.

Exodus 20 shows the Presence of YHWH the Father as the Shekinah Glory (fire) upon the Mountain, with His voice speaking the 10 commandments to Israel and declaring how Israel should properly worship His Name.

Once again both of these encounters with YHWH have these common events:

  • Fire (Presence of YHWH the Father); the Image of YHWH
  • Voice of YHWH
  • Declaring the Name of YHWH
  • Message of Deliverance (from Bondage, from Pharaoh, from Sin, from Exile, from Death)
  • Worship-service, obedience, observance

YHWH, the Father is there. So we know Him by name as being there. But perhaps we should not only seek after His name, but attempt to understand "what" YHWH is.

Let's take a quick look at what the Stone Edition Chumash says about the fire in the bush. We need to put aside any doubts that the Jews recognize this fire as YHWH the Father.

Page 301, Stone Edition, Chumash; "The Torah describes Moses' vision in three different ways: a fire, an angel, and, finally, as God. Because this was Moses' first prophecy, he had to be exposed to it gradually, like someone in a dark room, whose eyes cannot tolerate an immediate exposure to blinding sunlight. First, Moses was shown a fire that was strange because it did not consume the bush. This excited his curiosity to investigate, something he would not have done had he realized that a Godly holiness was resting upon it. Then it was revealed to him that an angel was in the fire, and once he had become accustomed to this new phenomenon, he was given the vision of God Himself. Thus, too, God introduced Himself as the God of Moses' father, Armram, only then did He say that He was the God of the Patriarchs."

It is explicitly clear that this is YHWH the Father. Where the above mentioned characteristics are, YHWH the Father resides. Not part of YHWH the Father...All. So we have two events of Moses worshiping YHWH, the God of His fathers.

John 1: 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2The same was in the beginning with God.  3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The Messiah Yeshua is the Divine Light, the glory of the Father.

John 1:  11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

So we clearly see that the Messiah is light, life, and He is the light of men. Receiving Him gives us the power to become sons of YHWH. We see this highlighted on the first shabbat in the Garden of Eden. The completion of the seventh day sabbath count is manifest in the transmitting of the image of YHWH - the divine light - to man. It is through the divine light that we are made complete. Heaven and Earth are not completed on earlier days of the creation week. Heaven and Earth are unified in "one" on the seventh day from the manifestation of the divine light. On the 7th day Sabbath, the male and the female are united as are the heavens and the earth. The kingdom of YHWH is one. The image of YHWH appears in the earth. The earth is no longer void, the waters are gathered and the breath of life and the mist of the garden bring forth uncorrupted flesh and image.

We can conclude that the 7 day count starts and begins with the manifesting of the image of YHWH, divine light. This is the true redemption, the true rest, the true Shalom (wholeness or completion). It starts with divine light and ends with the union of male and female, the union of heaven and earth, a self replicating system that reproduces the mind of YHWH - the divine "one mind" becoming many countenances. This is what YHWH is, the Divine Mind or the "fullness of God".

Ephesians 3: 14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;  17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

The crucifixion of the divine one mind is through the manifestation of light nailed to the material crucifixion cross (tree/bush). This restricting of YHWH to material existence and experience so that the one mind (fire in the bush on the mountain) might become many countenances. This is why Moses was surprised by the fire in the bush on the mountain. Moses was astounded that the bush was not consumed. YHWH is the fire and we are branches of the tree/bush (material existence). YHWH does this so that we might receive His image/countenance. This occurs on the seventh day sabbath. The count starts with the divine manifestation of light/fire (mind) and ends with the replication of His image in our countenance on the seventh day sabbath. The one mind becomes many countenances. So what happens when that image or countenance is broken? It must be restored by the promised seed, the Messiah.

Numbers 6: 25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:  26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.  27And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.

That fallen image and the material universe is depicted as the fallen, unclean, and barren woman. It does not produce light of itself. It can only reflect the light of another. We are but the reflection of the light of YHWH, like the moon reflecting the light of the sun. Without external light the moon is a shadow, just as the material universe without the mind of YHWH is consumed in darkness and becomes of a reprobate mind.

2 Corinthians: 12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:  13And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:  14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.  15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.  16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.  17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

We do not produce the light of ourselves. We are as the moon, which reflects the glory of the sun. When we are resurrected on the seventh day, we will only need the light of the Messiah Yeshua and of YHWH and we will no longer need to rely on the physical symbols that currently provide us with light.

Revelation 21:  22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

So let us clarify that the Shema is true. There is only ONE God.

Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad.
Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.

Barukh sheim k'vod malkhuto l'olam va'ed.
Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom for ever and ever.

There is only one God. We must ensure that our understanding of the Brit chadashah (the Renewed Testament) follows the foundation of the Torah, which has reaffirmed that there is only One God. So logically we must follow the equation that if YHWH (God) is one, and YHWH is "Divine Mind", we must come to acknowledge deeper truths about our view of reality.

If there is only One Mind, what else does that mean?

  • There are not many minds, there are many countenances (images/faces)
  • That there is one great mind that rules all manifestation
  • That this One Mind is everywhere, all powerful, and all knowing
  • That all creation is/are manifestations of that one mind
  • That the Divine Mind is the Father and the Utterance (Word) is the Son
  • The Divine Mind is the fire and the root to all the branches
  • The Divine Mind dwells in tabernacles not made with human hands (living beings)
  • The Divine Mind in manifestation (name) is divided (male/female, left/right, up/down, heaven/earth, dry land/water, rest/action, good/evil, light/darkness, Yeshua/Satan)
  • There is one great undivided unconscious mind
  • There are many divided countenances (conscious minds/images)
  • The barrier between unconscious mind and conscious mind disappears when we sleep, dream, and are immersed in the mind of YHWH

Now much of this may seem far-fetched, but what does the Torah say about how YHWH communicates with man?

Numbers 12:  1And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.  2And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.  3(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)  4And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.  5And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.  6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.  7My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.  8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?  9And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

Notice from YHWH's own mouth he states that he communicates to man through dreams and visions. Notice the emphasis here on what a man beholds in his dreams and through visual and audible observation. But there is the possibility of an even higher communication between YHWH and man. YHWH states that Moses is "faithful" in all of YHWH's house. I would take this as a statement of YHWH's approval of Moses being a faithful image of YHWH, and as such is able to speak with YHWH mouth to mouth and via the "similitude" image of YHWH, and not in dark speeches. So where many of us are only to perceive as Paul, through a glass darkly, Moses is able to perceive the image of YHWH and see clearly.

I Corinthians 13: 11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.  12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

The whole argument of Aaron and Miriam (who are a prophetic image of our current fallen state dwelling in the shadow of death) is that YHWH also speaks to them just as to Moses. YHWH clarifies that he does speak to them, but not clearly like he does to someone who is a "faithful" image in His house who can behold the "similitude of YHWH".

So let's clarify, the Father, YHWH, is the undivided unconscious mind. Yeshua is the countenance of YHWH, the expression of the Mind of YHWH, the Word of YHWH. In light of this understanding, let's read with great sensitivity what John is saying about Yeshua.

John 1:

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Word/Utterance is with YHWH and is YHWH)

2The same was in the beginning with God. (In the beginning All things are made manifest by the Utterance of YHWH)

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (The Utterance of YHWH brings forth life and light of men, again all manifestation is spoken into existence)

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. (The purpose of the Light is to bring about belief)

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (The light and utterance abides in every man)

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (The world does not know that YHWH abides in the manifestations)

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (Our birth is not through copulation but through the predestination of YHWH)

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (No man can see God/YHWH.)

The divine mind is hidden from us. We can only observe the Light of the Divine Mind and its manifestation. All things manifest come from their root, which is unobservable (the one divine mind). It is through the will of the one divine mind that images are manifest of the heavenly and hidden realities.

So how does one that is hidden and unobservable by nature view its own countenance in a mirror? He needs another... We are that other. We are the waters (Mikva/Baptism) that the Father is gazing into in order to see His own countenances. This is our service to YHWH. Paul had great insight into our service to YHWH.

Romans 12:  1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.  4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Notice how Paul reaffirms that we need to be living sacrifices to YHWH and that is our service to HIm. How do we go about giving this service? By being transformed by the renewing of our "minds" (consciousness), that we may prove the will of YHWH. Do you see how Paul reaffirms that we are many members (countenances-Sons), yet there is only one body (unconscious mind-Father) and that, "we, being many, are one body in Messiah"? Again the Brit Chadashah and the Torah are reaffirming this understanding. David reaffirms our service to God takes place in our "thoughts".

Psalms 51:  16For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.  17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.  18Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

We cannot help but see that the Brit Chadashah (Renewed Testament) is heavily focused on what we "think".

Philippians 2:  4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.  5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

I would suggest you do a word study of "mind" in the Brit Chadashah and you will see how important your thoughts are to YHWH. Why? Because that is our "reasonable service" to YHWH. We must ask ourselves why would it be important to YHWH that we refine and improve our thoughts? This would depend upon your paradigm of what the world is and how it came about. Let's once again seek out what the scriptures say about YHWH. As a reminder we must remember that YHWH is not a Man. YHWH is all powerful and he manifested all things and that includes satan and evil. To say that he had no foreknowledge of what evil would come about, would be the same as saying He is either incompetent, powerless, or unknowing and not worthy of worship.

We must not forget that images of the creation week tell us about the greater realities of the manifest universe and the mind of YHWH. Remember there are two trees in the Garden, before the fall of Adam and Eve on the first Shabbat (Sabbath).

Genesis 2:  1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.  2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.  3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.  4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,  5And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.  6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.  7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.  8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.  9And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  10And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.  11The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;  12And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.  13And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.  14And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.  15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.  16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.  18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Let's take notice of several facts:

  • All things start to grow on the seventh day when a "mist" comes up from the ground
  • Adam is formed on the seventh day
  • The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life both abide in this perfect sanctified time and place with Adam and YHWH
  • Adam is forbidden to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

Doesn't it strike you as odd that in this perfect state, the first sanctified Shabbat, there are two trees that abide and one is classified as being related to good and evil? If our assumption of YHWH is that in His mind there is no conception of evil, I would dare to say that we are mistaken. If Genesis is all about the manifestation of YHWH and not solely the "creation" of an unrelated object, this should tell us volumes about God and what He is accomplishing in and by the Universe. Let's remember that in the divine rest there is no division, all things abide in "rest", but are still present. In manifested creation, YHWH (mind) is crucified on the tree (physical reality) and divided through conflict. It is through our wrestling with this conflict that we cause our countenances of the mind of YHWH to ascend to a place of rest and resurrection again. That is why you see so many contrasts in the physical world (male/female, up/down, left right, good/evil, Yeshua/satan, clean/unclean, etc). Our reasonable service to God is to pick up our cross and follow Yeshua, as Yeshua reconciled the divided and made all things one once again.

Colossians 1:  19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;  20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

This shows us the great importance of our necessity of imitating the Messiah. The image presented by Yeshua is sacrifice, not power, love, not domination.

Luke 14:  26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  27And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.  28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Yeshua is the image of unity and reconciliation of the two trees of the garden. Both trees abide in YHWH.

Matthew 16:  23But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.  24Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

We must do as Yeshua says and seek our redeemer in YHWH. This is the same thing that Joseph did, he sought His redeemer in YHWH.

Genesis 48:  15And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,  16The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.  17And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.

This is prophetic of the coming of the Messiah. Job also looked for His redeemer even though His persecutor was YHWH Himself.

Job 19: 24That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!  25For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:  26And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Now I will not debate that Yeshua's nature does not change. That which applies to Yeshua, I would contend is not intended to apply to the Father, YHWH.

Hebrews 13:  7Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.  8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.  9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

It is Yeshua, who brought grace and truth, who does not change and is "the same yesterday, today and for ever". He is the hoped for deliverer, the tree of life. He is the manifest countenance of YHWH, the Light of the World, the Fullness of the Godhead bodily. There is no need for change where the image is perfected. Just as Moses could behold the "similitude of YHWH", Yeshua is the "similitude of YHWH". Darkness does not abide in the light. But we must become mature enough to realize that if the manifest universe is a manifestation of the heavenly and of YHWH, we must acknowledge that in that greater reality is a left and a right, a male and a female, an up and a down, a heaven and an earth, a good and an evil, a redeemer and a persecutor, a life and a death. The purpose of the countenance is so the unknowable and unobservable may know and observe Himself as in a mirror and cause that one unconscious mind to ascend and become many countenances or many conscious nesses.

So if we assume that YHWH holds the same unchangeableness as Yeshua does, why do we see Him changing His mind on a regular basis?

  • Genesis 6:6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
  • Exodus 32:14And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
  • Judges 2:18And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
  • 1 Samuel 15:35And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
  • 2 Samuel 24:16And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.
  • 1 Chronicles 21:15And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
  • Psalm 106:45And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

These are just a few of the occasions of YHWH changing His mind. So before you reject all this as vain philosophy let us go back to the major prophecies of the Torah, the Writings, and the Brit Chadashah to determine if this proposed pattern is substantiated by the images presented by YHWH's own history and prophetic pattern. Let's examine the stories of Joseph, Daniel, David, and Yeshua to determine if the images and patterns repeat and hold the same meanings over and over again and determine the difference between the conscious mind (countenance of the king) and the unconscious mind (the King, Father). You will find great insight into the significance of dreams, hearing the voice of YHWH, and our role in changing the mind of YHWH, which is the work of the anointed ones-Messiah's.

7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Proof of Authority as Countenance of the King

Genesis 41: 42, Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

Daniel 2:46, Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.

47The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

48Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.

49Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

Matthew 12:38, Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

39But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

40For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

1 Samuel 24:2, Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.

3And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.

4And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily.

5And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt.

6And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD.

7So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.

8David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.

9And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?

10Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed.

11Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.

12The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.

13As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.

14After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.

15The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.

16And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.

17And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.

18And thou hast shewed this day how that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the LORD had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not.

19For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the LORD reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day.

20And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.

21Swear now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father's house.

22And David sware unto Saul. And Saul went home; but David and his men gat them up unto the hold.

1 Corinthians 15: 13, But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Revlelations 3:6, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

 7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This is only a brief summary. Now we will go into the scriptures and evaluate if there is any merit to this proposal. Remember the circumstances surrounding each event are to be viewed as a manifestation of YHWH revealing Himself so that we can observe and understand Him.
