In the last chapter we learned that Yeshua is the new wine that requires new bottles. He is the new seed which is the new wine that requires a new body of in-corruptible flesh to contain the new seed. Notice there were 6 waterpots for the purification of the Jews that were turned into the new wine.
John 2:And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
Notice that there were 6 waterpots. What happened on day 6 of creation? Man’s seed is created by YHWH. These waterpots are symbolic of the new seed for new flesh and new bodies. We are to be born again, grafted into Yeshua’s incorruptible flesh, the new wine that was better than anyone had ever tasted before. Nobody could tell where the wine came from, the same as nobody could tell where Yeshua’s flesh came from. They keep asking the question, but they can’t answer it. And the governor of the feast is astounded that He would wait until midway through the celebration to reveal the New Wine, New Spirit, the New Flesh, the New Seed, the Image of YHWH in man restored. It was very good wine. We must acknowledge that not only do we need Yeshua’s flesh, but we need be grafted into His Spirit.
Ezekiel 11:19And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:
Ezekiel 18:31Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 36:26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Mark 1:27And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
Romans 7:6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
2 Corinthians 3:6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Revelation 2:17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
We know that Yeshua is a life giving spirit.
I Corinthians 15:44, It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
We also know that the life is in the blood.
Leviticus 17:10,And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Yeshua’s blood makes atonement for our souls. The life of the redeemed is in the blood of Yeshua. His spirit is in the blood of the Passover Ceremony. His flesh is in the broken unleavened bread of the Passover ceremony. Not only do we need to be grafted into Yeshua’s uncorruptible flesh, but also into His incorruptible spirit. We are hidden in the spirit and flesh of Yeshua in the Mikva (baptism) for our purification.
We live in Yeshua and He lives in us.
John 14:15,If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
If we partake of the Hidden Manna, Yeshua in spirit and flesh, we are one with YHWH. Yeshua is the waterpots of water turned to new wine, put in new bottles for the purification of Israel. He is the Red Heifer that makes the waters of separation on the third day that we may be clean on the seventh day. We are hidden in Yeshua. Mikva (baptize) in the name of Yeshua that He may bear the name of YHWH in your life. This new spirit must be born again in incorruptible bodies, lest the flesh be broken or the bottle shattered, or the garment torn.
Revelation 2:16,Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Genesis 1:26, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them…31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Our water must be changed to the New Wine of Yeshua, Mikva’d (baptized) in His flesh, born again in uncorruptible flesh that can handle the new seed.
The feeding of the multitudes has amazing meat and prophetic insights within these scriptures. I feel it is deeply important that we go over all these verses. Please excuse the length, but if you gloss over the details you will miss the underlying connections. The answer to the mystery is in the number of baskets of remnants picked up. Yeshua is the unleavened bread from Heaven who gathers the broken remnants of flesh.
The Bowl of Manna before the Mercyseat:
Matthew 17: 1And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. 4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 6And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. 8And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. 9And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. 10And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
Exodus 16:25,And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. 30So the people rested on the seventh day. And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt. And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations. 34As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
On the seventh day the manna is not in the field, it is cooked and in your dwelling place on the sixth day, so don’t leave the house on the seventh.
Summary of the Feedings:
Feeding 5,000, Prophetic of the Shewbread:
John 6, Luke 9, Matthew 14, & Mark 6:
Points to Consider:
- 5,000 men, besides women & children, Multitude that heard of the signs in the healings
- As sheep without a shepherd, Those needing healing are healed
- 200 Pennyworth not enough to feed them and where can we buy bread?
- A lad has 5 barley loaves and 2 small fishes (Yeshua made the apostles fishers of men-Teaching the 5 books of Torah to the 2 Houses of Israel, Matthew 4:19)
- Passover is near, Yeshua goes over Galilee and up a mountain, Men commanded to sit, there is much grass
Yeshua LOOKING UP to heaven blesses the loaves, breaks them, gives to disciples to give to multitude (Match “Looking up to heaven” to Yeshua looking up when causing the deaf to hear and the blind to see, they don’t see their shepherd, the Bread from Heaven, the sign of the Son of Man, Resurrection and uncorrupted flesh, healing, being made clean, and grafted back into the Tree of Life)
- Gives to Disciples who give to the multitude & gather 12 baskets of fragments of the 5 barley loaves that none be lost (Shewbread)
Exodus 25:23,Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof...And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.
- Disciples go down to the sea and Yeshua goes to a mountain alone
- A great storm arises and Yeshua comes walking to them on the water at the 4th watch of the night
- They are afraid, they welcome Him into the boat and are immediately at shore
- Yeshua exhorts them to seek the flesh/bread that doesn’t perish.
- They ask for a sign and He explains He is the Bread of Heaven and must be eaten
Feeding 4,000, The Menorah:
Matthew 15 & Mark 7:
Points to Consider:
- 4,000 men, besides women & children
- Oral Law vs. Written Torah-Leaven of the Pharisees, Who is clean?
- Father’s plants live, Yeshua goes to Tyre & Sidon,
- Heals daughter of Canaanite woman vexed with a devil & rewards her great faith
- Ascends the mountain & sick, blind, lame, and dumb cast at His feet and are healed
- They continue with Him 3 days & where will they find bread in the wilderness?
- Disciples have 7 loaves and few little fishes & all sit at Yeshua’s command
Yeshua gives thanks for the loaves, breaks them, gives to disciples to give to multitude (In this case it is not mentioned that He is looking up (match with “Looking up to heaven” when causing the deaf to hear and the blind to see in Mark 7:32-37, these do see their shepherd, the Bread from Heaven). They are bringing people to be healed by consuming the Bread from Heaven. Their eyes and ears are open and they see the Sign of the Son of Man. YHWH in the uncorrupted flesh stands before them, Yeshua, made in the image of YHWH. They are sitting looking up at Him, the Tree of Life, the Menorah.
- Gives to Disciples who give to the multitude
- 7 baskets of broken flesh gathered (seven branches on the Menorah, 3 and 4 bowls shaped like almonds on various branches-The Tree of Life/Light, Lights in the firmament on the 4th day of creation, Light of the World appears in the 4th millennia. The Tree of Life heals the broken flesh. Bread is equated with flesh. (Ruth 4:15))
- Yeshua sends multitude away and takes a ship to the Coast of Magdala
Exodus 25:31,And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: 33Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick. And in the candlesticks shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers. And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick. Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.
Each time Yeshua ascends the mountain, the next time He ascends the mountain with a few of His disciples and shows them His true glorified flesh and that He is indeed the Manna from Heaven. Peter declares in Matthew 16, that Yeshua is the Son of God, but they are told by YHWH himself that He is literally His beloved son and flesh, unlike Moses and Elijah who appear in the Transfiguration. They were proposing making a tabernacle for each of the three, YHWH was clarifying who they should listen to. YHWH had done the same thing when Miriam and Aaron confronted Moses over whether His wife should enter the Promised Land.
YHWH explained that Moses saw clearly what YHWH’s plan was and how YHWH works with Moses was different from other prophets. YHWH is again clarifying this for the “Prophet like unto Moses”. Moses is a type of Messiah. YHWH determines who is clean and who enters the covenant with Him. The Father draws us and keeps us tied to the root via the branch. The branch is YHWH’s flesh. The Manna from Heaven. Pure, uncorrupted, unfallen flesh of Yeshua. During all this miraculous feeding of the multitudes the discussion turns to the need to consume Yeshua’s flesh and blood, and our need to eat the Bread of Heaven. It is no coincidence that the next thing to appear in the scriptures is the clarification of the identity of Yeshua. Everyone thinks he is Mary’s seed or son. YHWH is clarifying their understanding. Yeshua is not Mary’s seed. She is His appointed guardian.
He is ALL Bread from Heaven, unfallen flesh, incorruptible Image of YHWH, flesh of YHWH. To say otherwise is contradictory of the scriptures and mixes clean with the unclean. If we say that Yeshua is of our fallen flesh, then we are still caught up in pagan traditions. He is not grafted to our flesh, we are grafted into His flesh. Those who say Yeshua is of the seed of Mary are in error and need to come out of Babylon and be restored to the faith once delivered.
These stories relating the gathering of the 7 baskets of broken meat happen to correspond with the healing of broken flesh. Those who are blind, dumb, deaf, and maimed are healed. On the seventh day of the creation week, man was formed of the ground, as were the herbs, trees, and animals. The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil were planted in the Garden of Eden. Man became a living soul and was in relationship with YHWH. Good health was the order of the day.
These sick and healed people abided with Yeshua for 3 days (perhaps 3 millennial days). Notice this all happened after the healing of the Canaanite woman’s possessed daughter. Her great faith caused Yeshua to heal her. Yeshua reminded her that he was sent but to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel and even the disciples were urging Him to send her away. The woman indicated that the crumbs of bread or fragments left over that fall from the dinner table of Yeshua and the Lost Sheep would be eaten by the dogs. Immediately thereafter, we see the dinner happening, people being healed and fragments being taken up and then departing to the Coasts of Magdala and Tyre and Sidon. Great testimony is given about the necessity of eating His flesh and blood and who His true parentage was.
The Pharisees are worried about cleanliness and who can enter the covenant. Yeshua is worried about what comes from inside you. He then promptly instructs them to consume Him so that what comes out of them would no longer defile them. Are we still defiled with hypocrisy? Are we still defiled with the idea that Mary is the Mother of Yeshua, that she is immaculate? Not once does Yeshua call Mary His mother, although all others supposed she was. Peter was given a gift from YHWH to see who Yeshua’s parentage really was, YHWH. Let’s not forget there are many types and parallels between John 6 and the events of the past two millennia and the events to happen in the Great Tribulation before the remnants are gathered once again. Israel and the twelve tribes are prophetically matched up with the twelve loaves of showbread in the tabernacle.
Exodus 25:29,And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them. And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway. 31And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
Now the critical point is brought up when the Pharisees come seeking a sign of who He was, where He came from, and who gave Him authority.
Mark 8:11, And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. 13And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side. Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. 15And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. 16And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. 17And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven. And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand? 22And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. 26And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town. 27And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? 28And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
How amazing the Pharisees were asking for a sign from Heaven to prove His identity. He judges them and says He will not give a sign to that generation. Yeshua warns the disciples of the leaven of the Pharisees and Herod. They are concerned that He is upset that they didn’t bring enough bread. The Pharisees wanted a sign of His identity. Yeshua also warns them of the leaven of Herod who was in an incestuous relationship with his daughter. This is a violation of the Torah, because it is the unlawful mixing of seed. The Pharisees and Sadducees would not eat with those they considered unclean seed.
Yeshua is trying to teach them that seed that YHWH has made clean will be gathered again and that their seed is clean and will live in His sight. They will be grafted back into the Tree of Life. Yeshua is amazed that they don’t understand and likens them to blind men. He then asks them how many baskets of fragments were taken up when He fed the five thousand with five loaves: twelve. And how many baskets of fragments were taken up when the four thousand were fed with seven loaves? Seven. He asks how is it you don’t understand. He then takes a blind man, removes him from the city, heals him and tells him not to re-enter the city or tell anyone in that town that he is able to now see. Yeshua told the Pharisees of that town that He wouldn’t give that generation in that town a sign. They wanted to know by what authority He did these things, who sent Him, and where He came from. But He did the sign. The formerly blind man was privileged to see the Bread of Life, and He believed and has everlasting life. He was healed.
He gave the man eyes to see. He took water from Heaven and put it on the man’s eyes. He could see men like trees walking about. He then has him look up towards Heaven and now he can see clearly. We are trees either attached to the Tree of Life or to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Yeshua gathers the branches back to be re-grafted back into the Tree of Life. The next point sums up the matter. Yeshua asks them, Who do men say that I am? What is my identity? By what authority do I do these things? Where do I come from? Who are my parents? What is my flesh? “Thou art the Christ.” We cannot dismiss the connection between, seed, the Bread from Heaven, healing, restoration of sight to the blind, and the identify of Yeshua and the nature of His flesh.
His flesh (spit) is able to heal those who have partaken in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and have had their flesh torn by it. The remnant of the twelve tribes and their companions are healed and gathered on the seventh day. The remnants will be gathered in baskets and then Yeshua and the Disciples carry them across the sea. Also notice, each time Yeshua ascends the mountain, the third time He ascends the mountain with a few of His disciples he shows them His true glorified flesh and that He is indeed the Manna from Heaven.Peter declares in Matthew 16 that Yeshua is the Son of God. In Matthew 17 when they see Yeshua’s glorified flesh and Elijah and Moses with Him, the disciples still want to build three tabernacles. YHWH himself clarifies from Heaven that only Yeshua is His flesh, His son, “Hear Him”.
Compare the feeding of 4,000 with the feeding of 5,000:
Feeding 4,000:
Matthew 15:1,Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. 12Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. 16And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: 31Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel. Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude? And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes. 35And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
Now let’s look at the Feeding of 5,000. These are two very different events.
Feeding 5,000:
John 6:1,After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. 2And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. 3And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. 4And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. 13Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. 16And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea, And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. 21Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went. 22The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone; (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? 26Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. 27Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. 30They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? 31Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. 41The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48I am that bread of life. 49Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. 60Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Yeshua Explains the Feedings:
Matthew 16:1,The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 9Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. 21From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
These feedings are all about the re-gathering of lost Israel and on a deeper level the healing of fallen flesh via the Manna of Heaven, the incorruptible flesh of Yeshua the Messiah, the one who gathers.
