Let's explore what the scriptures have to tell us through thematic analysis of its greatest prophecies. Many have tried to say that these prophecies have their greatest and final fulfillment in the events of the end-times. Though they are likely to have something to do with the end times, I would propose that YHWH is attempting to tell us something far more meaningful about the nature of all things and His purpose for manifesting all things. He is revealing Himself to us.
The Brit Chadasha confirms that all things are manifested and are not an unrelated creation.
Hebrews 4: 12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Those that are manifested come about through the Word of YHWH, the life and the light of the world. He spoke all things into existence.
Ephesians 5: 10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
All living things manifest because they have the light and the life of the utterance of YHWH dwelling within them. We need to hear what Paul is really saying here. He is speaking of mysteries and most are reading the simplest level of what he is saying to us. He is describing the nature of all things, how we come to be, and what is our purpose for being here. We are here to be reproved and all that implies, the refinement of our consciousness, our thoughts. It leads us to more light and less darkness which results in one thing, "Awake thou that sleepest". To awaken is to be separated from unconsciousness to conciseness, to be made holy.
Leviticus 19: 1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.
The ultimate requirement for man is to be cast in the image of YHWH and be holy as He is holy. Most of us still don't understand what holiness is. Most will ascribe it to being righteous, which I would not debate is a component of holiness, but I would suggest is not the full meaning of holiness. The root hebrew word for "holy" is, Qadosh.
Qadosh literally means "to be set apart for a special purpose". It is the separating out from something else for a sanctified purpose. Take this meaning in the context that there is one divine unconscious Mind that is behind all manifestation, which is called "God" or YHWH, then He is calling us forth from the oneness of the Divine Unconscious Mind (YHWH) to be a separated consciousness (countenance) which serves His purposes, the refinement of His thoughts. This is the service of Holiness and being separated or set apart for a special purpose.

Being "set apart" or being made "holy" unto YHWH is our divine service. This is the separating out of our consciousness from the one divine unconscious mind of YHWH. So if this is our literal service to YHWH, the refinement of His thoughts or the ascension to an awakened state, we must be able to demonstrate this through the scriptures. Let's not jump ahead yet though. If our purpose is the refinement of thought this implies that their is a discordance in the One Divine Mind, a basic conflict of opinions. Do we see this essential conflict played out repeatedly in the scriptures?
I kings 18: 20So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel. 21And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. 22Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
Once again we see the thematic connection between the conflict of true versus false prophets and the conflict between two different opinions that need to be reconciled. Elijah is again prophetic of the Messiah Yeshua and His divine service to YHWH. He serves to show the truth of who is YHWH. We see this same prophetic conflict occur time and again. The demand is always the same, "Tell me the dream and the interpretation thereof" or "What is truth?". This is the same question as we see stated above, "If the Lord be God, follow Him, but if Baal, then follow him." The outcome is always the same, the revealing of a "true" prophet.
Genesis 41: 5And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good. 6And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them. 7And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream. 8And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
The king has one requirement: he needs to know the meaning of the dream, and when one ascends out of the prison and can tell him the meaning of the dream, we see the following description of that one.
Genesis 41: 38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
This is the same thematic declaration as we saw of Elijah up above...
I Kings 18: 22Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
The conflict reveals the true prophet, the one who truly serves YHWH, has His Ruach and can tell the meaning of the dream to King (unconscious Mind). Please remember to read the dream of Pharaoh and how it depicts the mirror image of the manifest world. Two dreams both with one meaning. Both bear the mirror images of 7 kine (cows) that are fat and 7 kine (cows) that are lean, 7 ears of corn that are full and 7 ears that are blasted with the east wind.
Genesis 41: 17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river: 18And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow: 19And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness: 20And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine: 21And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke. 22And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good: 23And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: 24And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me. 25And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.
Notice that in both of Pharaoh's dreams you have a mirror image of 7 good things and 7 bad things. You could easily tie this back to Genesis 1 and 2 and the manifestation of all things through the utterance of YHWH. Throughout the week you have the separation of things into twos; heavenly firmament and lower firmament, heaven from earth, dividing the waters from the earth, male from the female, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil from the tree of life, Adam from Eve, etc. It is through this divine separating that all things are made manifest.
In Pharaoh's dream each of the 7 good manifestations is consumed by the wasted and bad, yet the appearance of the bad does not improve. The good kine ascend out of the waters and the ill favored do not. The good ears are not blasted by the east wind and the blasted ears are. The dream and the manifested reality of the dream is only resolved by the telling of the meaning of the dream by one who has the Ruach of YHWH and His accession. Notice that those things established by YHWH are doubled and divided.
Genesis 41: 32And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. 33Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. 35And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine. 37And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. 38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. 45And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt. 46And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
Notice how the ascended dream interpreter (Prophet) is full of the Ruach of YHWH, is made ruler over the house and that Pharaoh is only greater than Him in the throne. Don't skip over this. We are being given mysteries here. The divine Unconscious MInd (YHWH) has appointed the Messiah (Prophet that will come, the ascended dream interpreter) over His house. He is given new garments of royalty and made to ride in the second chariot. Now what is interesting is that "without thee no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt..." Considering that Yeshua ascended to the throne of YHWH after His resurrection and does His divine service between YHWH and Man in the heavenly tabernacle we must not miss the point that YHWH dwells in all of us. And without the Messiah's divine service none of us would be able to lift hand or foot. The Messiah does intercession between the unconscious mind (YHWH) and man, literally.
The Messiah reconciles the conflict between the mirror images, left and right, good and evil, up and down, full and blasted, well favored and ill favored. The whole point of the manifest universe is to resolve this divine conflict, the two opinions. Conflicting opinions is the gateway for improved and refined thought. It is the purification of truth. We cannot skip over how important this is to YHWH. This was the principal goal of the servant of Abraham who was sent on a long journey to find a bride for the promised son. When he finally finds her, his thanks to YHWH are about one thing, "mercy and truth". This is the central purpose for being made holy unto YHWH.
Genesis 24: 27And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren. 28And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother's house these things.
If we think this is merely coincidental let's remember the central goal of the Messiah was to bring "Grace and Truth".
John 1: 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
These are not platitudes. This is the central role of the Messiah. He is to reconcile the two opinions, to manifest what is truth and provide us with the Ruach of Truth. The Ruach of Truth is manifested by the Messiah Yeshua who has ascended within everyman, doing intercession between the YHWH (unconscious mind) and man (conscious countenance). Yeshua the Messiah is the Ruach of Prophecy which serves as the interpreter of the King's dreams and makes them live in consciousness or individual countenances. The Ruach of Prophecy interprets and reconciles the two opinions and gives man the Ruach of truth, the reconciliation of the conflicting opinions. Truth can only be ascertained by accurate interpretation of the communications of YHWH, which occurs through symbols and images. Inaccurate interpretation of those symbols and images leads to errors, lies, false images, corruption, darkness, death, uncleanness. These are the hallmarks of a false prophet. A true prophet accurately communicates what YHWH is saying to him.
Numbers 12: 2And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it. 3(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) 4And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. 5And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. 6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
Notice how YHWH spoke to Moses' brother and sister is contrasted with how YHWH spoke to Moses. Their communication is compared to darkness, visions, and dreams, whereas Moses' communication with YHWH is compared with clearly understood speech as if face to face. The difference is clarity of understanding and clearly understood speech. The difference is in interpretative ability. In both cases YHWH is speaking and communicating to the prophet. The ability of the prophet's ability to interpret is different depending on the individual's ability to clearly see the similitude of YHWH. Poor vision and hearing will result in confused images and error. We cannot miss the importance of the historical record that before Yeshua's coming no one had ever known of a blind person's sight being restored. That is why Yeshua came, to give sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf.
Luke 4: 14And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
This was also Yeshua' proof to John the Baptist that indeed the Messiah had come.
Luke 7: 21And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. 22Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. 23And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
It is the curing of this blindness - the inability to accurately interpret images and symbols - to accurately perceive truth that the Messiah gives us through His prophetic work. He causes us to receive truth and reject lies. It is only through that door that we become enlightened and come out of darkness. We can see the prophetic implications of this in the life of Lot and his redemption from Sodom.
Genesis 19: 9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
Notice the crowds crave union with the divine messengers, yet are smitten with blindness so that they wearied to find the door. Remember Yeshua is the door. He is the way, the truth and the life. Because men reject the work of the Messiah and His prophetic intercession between YHWH and man, they are stuck outside the door in the darkness
Romans 1: 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
So once again the universe is the manifestation of YHWH so that He might be made known. All things are an image of heavenly realities, good and evil. There is a divine conflict between light and darkness which are at the root of two conflicting opinions. Our divine service is to handle the conflict of these opinions and improve our thoughts to ascended levels of lightness. This can only occur through accurate interpretation of the images of YHWH, which is the prophetic work of Yeshua the Messiah as the divine intercessor between YHWH and man. This divine intercession and interpretation of divine communications (tongues) sends us the Ruach of Truth. Inaccurate interpretation of YHWH'"s communication leads to graven images that have no life in them and cause lies and death. Truth leads to the awakening of the eyes which are prophetic for the souls of men. Our divine task is to cause our thoughts to refine and ascend to lightness and to eschew the darkness. This is how we become Holy unto YHWH, separated and pleasing countenances (consciousness).
Again we should be able to see this divine conflict in the scriptures. Let's move on to the story of David and Saul. We will examine the hallmarks of the symbols and images of their lives that illustrate what is occurring in the divine realm. It should be clear to see. If it is not, then clearly we are on the wrong track. So what should we be looking for?
The Divine Conflict:
- Images in conflict
- Thoughts in conflict
- Replacement of the King, just as we saw with Pharaoh
- Love and hate of the Ascended dream interpreter (Prophet)
- Continuing conflict between two opinions
- A relationship that can't progress without the coming of the ascended prophet
- Another King that wants someone else to rule the kingdom
- The King attempting to clothe His replacement with His own garments
- A King tormented by demons
- An ascended prophet given to prophetic song
- A king that both loves and hates His replacement
- The new King ruling over a divided Kingdom
- The son of the new King is preoccupied with Wisdom (accurate interpretation of truth)
- wis·dom [wiz-duhm]
–noun
1. the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight.
2. scholarly knowledge or learning: the wisdom of the schools.
3. wise sayings or teachings; precepts.
4. a wise act or saying.
5. ( initial capital letter ) Douay Bible . Wisdom of Solomon.

Let's remember how Pharaoh's dream showed the divine conflict in the images of the 7 good versus the 7 ill and how this is connected to the seven of the creation week. Does this pattern continue in the story of David and Saul? Yes. Let's refresh the premise and see if it manifests the higher realities in the lives of David and Saul.
The Premise:
- The nature of all things is manifestation of YHWH
- YHWH is the One Divine Unconscious Mind that lives in all things
- Individual countenances (consciousness) are the separating out of Holy ones unto YHWH
- The divine mind is in conflict between two opinions
- Our divine service to YHWH is to tell Him His dream, the interpretation thereof, and tell Him what is truth
Matthew 23: 22And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. 23Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Without doing the weightier matters of the law we cannot please YHWH. He demands to know the truth!
- All things that are manifest of YHWH are divided and require conflict in order to refine and cause thoughts to ascend
- The King (unconscious mind) is replaced by the Countenance of the King (conscious minds) and rules the kingdom, but is still lower than the King when it comes to the throne.
- The King (unconscious mind-YHWH) both loves and hates the coming of the Countenance of the King (the Messiah)
Let's cover the key sign posts in regard to Saul and David without large commentary. The pattern is either there or it is not. We should see symbols indicative of power and might associated with YHWH. Remember YHWH is the divine unconscious Mind that lives in all things.
1 Samuel 9: 1Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power. 2And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.
Notice that Saul was the best of the people and he is described as being above all the people. Remember YHWH is the unconscious mind, above all things. Remember Benjamin is associated with a dual name, one of power and one of sorrow.
Genesis 35:16And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. 17And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. 18And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin. 19And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.
- Benoni or Ben Oni, meaning son of my sorrow, or pain,
- Benjamin-generally interpreted as meaning son of my right hand, though sometimes interpreted as son of the right side.
So we see that Benjamin is associated with the duality of sorrow/pain versus the power of the right hand/side. Death and sorrow are typically associated with the left hand or left side. We see the image of someone who is divided and in conflict that dwells higher than any of the people. Benjamin is also born in the midst of the travail and sorrow of Rachel's death. Remember it was Rachel who is remembered as the one who is sitting upon her father's images.
Genesis 31: 33And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent. 34Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not. 35And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched but found not the images. 36And Jacob was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me? 37Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both.
We could view Rachel being typified as the material universe, which are images of heavenly realities. It is through her death that Benjamin is brought to life and ultimately redeemed by His brother Joseph (the ascended prophet/dream interpreter). Notice how Benjamin is treated by Joseph when Joseph finally reveals himself to his brothers. Let's also take note that Saul is of the tribe of Benjamin. We cannot help but notice that Benjamin is associated with receiving garments from His brother Joseph in Egypt.
Genesis 43: 29And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son. 30And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there. 31And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread. 32And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians. 33And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marvelled one at another. 34And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of their's. And they drank, and were merry with him.
Benjamin is paired with Joseph and it is causing great distress to Joseph to be separated from his brother. It is Joseph's role to provide five times as much for Benjamin than any of the other brothers. We will not go into great detail at this point about the relationship between the number five and grace, which is associated with the role of the Messiah. Needless to say it is Joseph who is providing redemption for his dual natured brother. We see how Joseph reconciles the family and delivers grace to his brother Benjamin.
Genesis 44: 2And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken. 3As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses. 4And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good? 5Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing. 6And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words. 7And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing: 8Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord's house silver or gold? 9With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord's bondmen. 10And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless. 11Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack. 12And he searched, and began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin's sack. 13Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.
Again Benjamin's nature and salvation is dual. It is great and abundant, but full of sorrow and travail. Notice the key to Benjamin's redemption and blessing is the placing of the Messiah's divining cup (ascended dream interpreter-conciousness) into the seed of Benjamin. Finding the divining cup in Benjamin's seed portends his death and judgment, but ultimately delivers him grace (the gift of five) from the Countenance of the King, Joseph. You must understand this in order to understand the prophetic role of Saul and David.
So when YHWH manifests Himself in reality He is divided and crucified, needing the deliverance of the Countenance of the King, the Messiah, the ascended dream interpreter in order for the family to be reunited and made whole. Benjamin (YHWH-Unconcious Mind) is a picture of this duality and this conflict that needs the reconciliation of the Countenance of the King (Conscious Mind-Countenance). That is why you will repeatedly see the tragic history of Benjamin throughout the scriptures. So we should see this conflict and duality within the life of Saul, the first King of Israel.
We see that Saul is typified with YHWH as the Savior of His people.
1 Samuel 9:15Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying, 16To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me. 17And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of this same shall reign over my people.
Saul is prophetic of YHWH saving His people and ruling over them. We can't help but notice that Saul never does complete this task. Just as YHWH told Samuel, the chosen King would serve his own interests.
1 Samuel 8: 6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. 7And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. 8According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. 9Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them. 10And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king. 11And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. 12And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. 13And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. 14And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. 15And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. 16And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. 17He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. 18And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. 19Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; 20That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. 21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD. 22And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king.
The outcome of this King and his relationship with the people is not satisfactory to Samuel, YHWH, or the people and it would result in their sorrow and pleading for deliverance. And the one who is appointed king, Saul, does not want to be king. After Samuel anoints Saul see the same imagery of the changing of the King.
1 Samuel 10: 5After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: 6And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. 7And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. 8And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do. 9And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.
Notice how the anointed King is "turned into another man", just as we saw Pharaoh replaced by Joseph. However, when it came time for the people to meet the anointed King he was in hiding.
1Samuel 10: 19And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands. 20And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken. 21When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found. 22Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff. 23And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward. 24And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.
We see the repeated themes of this divine conflict in Saul's early attempts to save Israel from their enemies. His first task is to save his brethren that have been threatened with having their right eyes removed.
1 Samuel 11: 2And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.
The battle is concluded with Saul's victory, and with the dualities ended, and the kingdom is renewed.
1 Samuel 11: 11And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.... 14Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.
Samuel goes on to remind the people of the great evil that they have committed in choosing a king for themselves and later we see Saul's great mistake.
1 Samuel 13: 9And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. 10And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. 11And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; 12Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. 13And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. 14But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
Saul is replaced by one chosen of YHWH that is after the image of His own heart.
1 Samuel 15: 8And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. 9But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. 10Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying, 11It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night. 12And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
YHWH expresses His displeasure with Saul because he is not following him or performing His commandments. Something is terribly wrong in the divine house.
1 Samuel 15: 22And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 24And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. 25Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. 26And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel. 27And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. 28And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. 29And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. 30Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God. 31So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD. 32Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past. 33And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal. 34Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul. 35And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
So what does this portend if Saul is a prophetic picture of YHWH? He doesn't hear or follow the Word of YHWH and is replaced by a neighbor who is better than him. Why would the all knowing and all powerful God anoint a failure and a rebel? Could this be prophetic of a higher reality? What is it about choosing a king who doesn't want to be king? When he was to be presented to the people he was caught hiding in the stuff so that he couldn't be found. Could this be prophetic of how YHWH dwells in temples not made with stone?
1 Samuel 10: 21When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found. 22Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff.
Could this be an allusion to God's true dwelling place?
Mark 14: 57And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, 58We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
John 2: 20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21But he spake of the temple of his body. 22When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
But in the midst of this reign of Saul, something goes terribly wrong. It is filled with deafness to hearing the Voice of YHWH and it is filled with rebellion. This King/People relationship is soon severed and replaced by a new King/People relationship. One King is exchanged for one that is "better than you". The current king is fighting Israel's enemies and compromising when it comes to ultimate victory. He is letting the enemies of Israel live. So remember if YHWH is Unconscious Mind and His sovereignty is allowing His enemies to live, this is not an acceptable state of affairs. Remember the manifest universe is the formation of images of the Unconscious mind, both left and right, good and evil. If our role is to tell the King what is truth and what His dream means, if we are failing to cause our thoughts to ascend and have ultimate victory by allowing the enemy to live, we our only forestalling our ultimate fall. A new King must be anointed that will faithfully hear the Voice of YHWH and complete it. This is the proper judgment, accurate vision, and discernment of truth. This shows us faithfully the images of YHWH and what they mean. Any compromise with this goal is to welcome darkness within which brings about a state of mind that is reprobate. Let's examine Saul's state of mind once he has been rejected by YHWH for His failure to fulfill his role.
Once again we are seeing the "Foreign King" ruling and then being replaced by another King. In the case of Saul we see a "hidden king" unwillingly made king of the people only to be rejected by YHWH for failure to hear and obey. He is replaced by one who is not highly esteemed by his family (as Joseph was put into exile by his family), but none the less, chosen by YHWH's will. Remember one of the focal points of the thematic pattern illustrated with Joseph was his beautiful countenance. This is a recurring thematic prophecy related to the Messiah.
Genesis 39: 6And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured. 7And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
Remember the goodly countenance is repeatedly associated with the Messiah and the ascended consciousness (dream interpretation, prophetic psalms, savior, etc). We see this same prophetic theme in the life of David. This countenance is typically found in exile, Joseph in Egypt, David not included in the selection for Kingship being busy out working in the fields, and as Yeshua was despised and rejected by His brethren.
1 Samuel 16: 7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 8Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this. 9Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this. 10Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these. 11And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. 12And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. 13Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. 14But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
Now let's not pass over this point too quickly. Knowledgeable servants of the King full of wisdom are clearly declaring that this evil spirit that is troubling the King is from God (YHWH). Remember the duality of manifest creation. The tree is full of good and evil and it dwells in the Garden of YHWH when all things are declared to be at rest on the first shabbat. When you think of the declaration of rest, think of it in terms of whether or not the manifestation of creation is an accurate copy or image of the heavenly realities. Now how is the conflict within the king, this torment by an evil spirit remedied? By the appearance of the anointed ascended prophetic dream interpreter, the Messiah, the Countenance of YHWH, the Consciousness of YHWH. The Prophetic intercessor gives accurate interpretation of truth.
1 Samuel 16: 15And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. 16Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. 17And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me. 18Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him. 19Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep. 20And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul. 21And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. 22And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight. 23And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
So Saul, who is prophetic of the heavenly King, the Unconscious Mind (YHWH), is tormented by evil spirits. We saw this imagery of good and evil in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 2: 8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Remember creation is less creation and more manifestation of YHWH, the heavenly realities. The divine unconscious mind is relieved of His torment by evil spirits/thoughts by the appearance of the anointed King (David, Joseph, etc) - the ascended conscious mind. He is the prophetic interpreter and intercessor between YHWH (unconscious) and man (countnenace-consciousness). But this Messiah figure is not king yet, he has a battle to win before he can take the throne. Who must he defeat, if it is not the current king? Maybe we are only seeing half the vision at this point. We see an anointed yet rejected king who is tormented by evil spirits. He is fighting against his neighbors in order to save his people. Yet the battle never seems to end. It almost appears to be a stalemate with someone of equal or greater size than this "head and shoulders above the rest" kind of king. Who is Saul at stalemate with?
1 Samuel 17: 2And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. 3And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. 4And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. 5And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. 6And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. 7And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. 8And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. 9If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. 10And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. 11When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
Does this imagery look familiar? Does this not look like the valley of decision that the Israelites had to pass through before entering the promised land?
Deuteronomy 30: 19I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. (also refer to Deuteronomy 27:12-29:1; Joshua 8:30-35)
Elijah posed the same question to the people.
1 Kings 18: 21, And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions?
Joshua summed it up quite nicely.
Joshua 24: 14Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 15And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. 16And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
This is the same age lasting battle. Whom will you serve? The true God or one that is full of darkness, deception and broken images? So now we see the other side of the image. On one side of the valley you have a tortured once anointed King who is at a stalemate with his other side, Goliath. Don't miss that these are both "giant" images that have a universal meaning. They both rule, they both have dedicated followers. One is profane and contemptuous and the other is embattled and persecuted by evil spirits. Yet neither are winning. Remember this is a prophetic picture of the divine Unconscious Mind (YHWH). As Job and Jacob noted we should be looking for the appearance of our Redeemer.
Job 19: 25For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Genesis 48:16, The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
It is the redeemer that breaks the stalemate of the unconscious mind (YHWH). It is through the appearance of the Messiah (ascended conscious countenance) that the divine unconscious conflict is brought to resolution. Enter David to the battle arena. David, upon hearing the blasphemy, starts talking to the soldiers who tell him about what great things the king will do to the one who kills the uncircumcised Goliath.
1 Samuel 17: 25And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.
This is the same prophetic award for those who overcome till the end, keep the Testimony of Yeshua and follow His Torah. These riches are the fruits of the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit, otherwise known as the Spirit of Truth). She is also known as the daughter of the King. This is the hoped for freeing of our houses from the enslavement of this fallen world. When we accept the Messiah Yeshua, the Ruach of Prophecy, He sends us the comforter that will lead us into all Truth, the Ruach Hakodesh. It is by accepting the Image of YHWH, the Messiah, that we are led into all truth, wisdom, and riches.
1 Samuel 17: 31And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him. 32And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. 33And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. 34And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: 35And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 36Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. 37David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. 38And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail. 39And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. 40And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
Let's notice a couple of points:
- The King is resistant to send a young one to do battle for him
- The goal is to defeat one who is uncircumcised
- Deliverance will come from YHWH
- Saul thought deliverance would come by clothing the boy in his own image
- The image is too heavy for David and he must go out to battle with his own tools
- Rod - Picture of the Image of YHWH
- 5 smooth stones from living waters placed in a shepherd's bag
- David draws near to the Philistine
Let's focus on the fact that David comes to the King and rejects the king's offer to wear his armour or image in the fight against the giant who profanes the name of YHWH. So David has his own image that works better at defeating the enemy than the original rejected king's image. Its not heavy, its a light burden and it has already worked against the beasts of the field. Let's not forget this imagery of the "heavy image", we will see it again in the book of Daniel Chapter 3 when Nebuchadnezzar tries to force the entire world to worship the image of Gold. We will also see David and Goliath prophetically fulfill the imagery of Daniel Chapter 2.
Daniel 2: 31Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. 32This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, 33His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. 34Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. 35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
We see the original image which could be viewed as a prophetic type of the nature of reality. As you move down the image, you move from the heavenlies down to the manifest universe where realities appear as divisions and dualities that are full of mixed materials. The original image is crushed, rejected and replaced by a new image, the Stone. In Daniel 3 you now see Nebuchadnezzar who is prophetic of YHWH (unconscious mind) trying to force the entire world to worship a fully gold image of this dream. Remember gold is the heaviest and purest of all the metals of the image. Just as Saul's armour was too heavy for David to wear, this image was not appropriate for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to worship or conform to.
Daniel 3: 1Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. 2Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. 3Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 4Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, 5That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: 6And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
All of the world worships this image except the companions of Daniel who are then thrown into the fiery furnace and are saved alive by the appearing of one like unto the Son of God.
Daniel 3: 14Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? 15Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? 16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 19Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. 20And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 22Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 24Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Notice several points:
- Nebuchadnezzar is prophetic of YHWH (unconscious mind)
- Nebuchadnezzar declares that all must worship the image when the music starts (very meaningful)
- The form and visage of Nebuchadnezzar (YHWH) is changed (dual/polar)
- The three are bound in garments (fleshly material existence) and thrown into the fire 7 times hotter (related to creation week) which ends up killing those who bound them
- A fourth appears in the fire, one like unto the Son of God (the image of YHWH, the countenance of YHWH, the Messiah, the ascended dream interpreter, the prophet)
- No one may speak against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego or the same will be done to them as was done to the image of Daniel 2, cut in pieces.
- Nebuchadnezzar's visage is now favorable towards Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (the bi-polar state is now uni-polar and united)
Daniel 3: 29Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. 30Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.
We see the image of Nebuchadnezzar (which is prophetic of YHWH) being inappropriate for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to worship or conform to. In the midst of their trial by fire, their true image or countenance arrives, "one like unto the Son of God", the Messiah. His image fits. His image can deliver. Just like these three, David had to reject the image of the King, Saul (unconscious Divine Mind) and take on his own image (ascended conscious mind) as he went out to battle.
Notice that the Messiah goes out to battle the one side of the dual image of two giants. Saul is the giant on the one side and Goliath is the giant on the other side. Both Saul and Goliath are images of the left and right side of YHWH's mind. Both of these images are conquered and replaced by the ascended conscious mind, the countenance of the King, the Messiah. Both sides of the King's mind (Divine Unconscious Mind) are in continual conflict. Both the right and the left, the persecuted good and the profane evil exist in the Holy Land (a picture of heaven or the heavenlies). Just as the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil both existed in the Garden of Eden and all was declared at rest on the first Shabbat. Both the left and the right side are accurately represented in the garden and they are also accurately depicted in the history of Saul, Goliath, and David. You see Saul and Goliath as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which brings warfare and death. And then you see the two kings (left and right of the divine unconscious mind) replaced by the Anointed Countenance of the King (separated consciousness) David, the Tree of Life. We will not forget that David, although anointed spends the early part of his career running for his life from King Saul and later ruling over a divided kingdom for 7 years (remember the creation week and the duration of this age 7,000 years).
In the next chapter we will further examine how it is possible that YHWH (Divine Unconscious Mind) both loves and hates the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness), hence requiring His death and His resurrection! The life of Saul and David will clearly manifest this love/hate relationship.
