Opening the Eyes (souls) of God!

Book 3-The Countenance of YHWH:

Chapter 4-God is Dreaming of You

Key Points:

  • As with Pharaoh's dual dream of fullness and leanness, Jacob's family is also split in two, having both fullness and leanness.
  • Joseph, a picture of the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness), is imprisoned (crucified) in the manifest universe where all the King's prisoners are. All the prisoners in this prison are committed into Joseph's hand (Messiah's hand) and whatever we do here is because Joseph (Messiah-Ascended Consciousness) is the doer of it.
  • The Messiah is not dreaming His own dream while in prison (crucifixion-manifest universe). He is serving as interpreter between God (the giver of the dream) and the imprisoned officers of the King (you and I).
  • We who are imprisoned and manage to refine what is given to him/her, as service unto God, will be redeemed and will ascend out of the prison with the help of the Ascended Dream Interpreter (the Messiah-Ascended Consciousness), who provides accurate interpretation of images from the Mind of God and brings forth Wisdom (truth) for the service of Pharaoh (prophetic of God).
  • Rachel names Benjamin with a name associated with sorrow (left hand) and Jacob names Benjamin with a name associated with the right hand (redemption). Benjamin is the prophetic type of the redeemed. He must be joined to his brother the Messiah (ascended consciousness) who will turn his dream which is dual/bi-polar (joy and sorrow) to uni-polar (life).
  • The butler is associated with wine (change) and life, the baker is associated with bread (affliction) and death. Duality once again.
  • Notice that which results in the servitude of Benjamin to Joseph centers around Joseph's divining cup (that which he uses to interpret dreams) being found in Benjamin's seed.
  • We have again reaffirmed the nature of reality, that we are manifestations (images) of God, the Divine Unconscious Mind which is dual/bipolar in nature and has descended for the purpose of survival, looking for intimate contact with Ascended Consciousness (the Messiah) so that our eyes (souls) may be made to see (Ascended Consciousness-made holy/separated from the Divine Unconscious Mind) and remain as separated countenances of the King (Conscious Countenance that rides in the 2nd Chariot) with the shedding of our former garments and being clothed with the resurrection garments of the Messiah.

We have already examined the story of Joseph and David and how they show the repeating thematic images of the interaction of God, the Divine Unconscious Mind, with the prophetic Messianic figure (Anointed Ascended Consciousness). We have seen how God both hates and loves the coming of the Messiah. God first curses and then blesses the Messianic figure. In the story of Pharaoh and Joseph, we see Pharaoh portraying the image of God (Divine Unconscious Mind) and Joseph as the Messiah (Ascended Countenance-individual Consciousness). In the Story of Goliath/Saul and Jonathan/David, we see Goliath and Saul depicting the bi-polar nature of God (Divine Unconscious Mind) and Jonathan/David portraying the union of the Redeemer and the Redeemed (Ascended Consciousness).

We cannot help but notice that in both stories there is the repeating thematic code of the "losing and gaining of garments". Joseph lost his garment of many colors when his brothers took it and covered it in blood and presented it to their father implying Joseph's death. This first loss of garments resulted in his descension down into Egypt. Once Joseph is in bondage in Egypt, the wife of his master seeks to entice him to join with her and become one flesh. He rejects her attempts and in the process she steals his covering garment. This results in his further descension into the prison of Egypt. Joseph loses his garments twice and descends twice, both times into greater imprisonment (crucifixion). Remember this descension and loss of garments is a picture of the greater realities and the manifestation of the images of God in the "creation" of the universe. Joseph only has two dreams, which like Pharaoh's, are "one" dream shown in duality, once from a terrestrial standpoint and then the same meaning with celestial imagery. Joseph spends the rest of his life manifesting the dream. He lives out the dream in order to provide the meaning of the dream to God (pictured by his family).

It was Joseph's own dreams that resulted in his brothers' jealousy and their forcing him into exile. Take note that Joseph's sheaf ascends- "arose" before his brother's sheaves as they descend- "made obeisance" before his sheaf. Remember that all that occurs in the promised land is a picture of the mind of YHWH. Joseph, his brothers, and his parents are all images of the mind of God.

Just as we saw with Goliath and Saul, the brothers are split into two groups. One group is persecuted by the other. The persecuted group is associated with miraculous birth, beauty, countenance, garments, images, sorrow, unity and love. The other group is associated with hunger, jealousy, anger, and division. The persecuted group is associated with Rachel who is pictured sitting on a world of images (Genesis 31:34). As with Pharaoh's dual dream of fullness and leanness, Jacob's family is also split in two having both fullness and leanness.

Remember, both Pharaoh's dreams and Jacob's family are images of the mind of God. The significance of this fact will become more meaningful as we see Jacob's own reaction to Joseph's dream. Jacob both resents the dream and keeps it in mind, respecting the truth of the dream and the interpreter! Even though God does not always like what He hears, He craves truth above all things. That is our divine service to God, to provide accurate interpretation of symbols and images yielding the truth of the dream to the dreamer.

Genesis 37:  6And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:  7For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. 8And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.  9And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.  10And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?  11And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

Joseph's father and brethren accepted the concept that dreams manifest the revelation of God. Our goal is to understand and accurately interpret that which God is trying to tell us. Notice even Jacob, who is a prophetic picture of God (the Divine Unconscious Mind), is shocked at the dream. Let's also take note that Jacob and his other sons accurately interpret the dream that indeed they will all worship before this Son (Ascended Consciousness/Individual Countenance/Messiah). The brothers openly hate Joseph because of this dream. It causes Jacob to openly rebuke Joseph before his brothers, but Jacob holds the dream and its meaning and doesn't let it go.

Immediately preceding Joseph's dreams, he received the gift of a many colored garment/robe from his father. We will not go into great depth of the symbolism of the coat of many colors and how it is a picture of receiving of the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit-The Spirit of Truth/Wisdom) which brings forth the accurate meaning of the symbols and images of the Divine Unconscious Mind (God).

Genesis 37:  3Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.  4And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.  5And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

We see the same prophetic imagery occur in the story of Tamar, daughter of the King.

2 Samuel 13: 18And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.  19And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of diviners colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

Just as Joseph has a terrible act which causes him to lose the garment of many colors, so does Tamar.

Let us suppose that receiving this many colored garment is likened to what we have already learned that Joseph received an image or a pattern much the same as David did when confronting Goliath. Saul desired to clothe David with his armour (image) but David rejected it. He later accepted the image of Jonathan, by putting on Jonathan's clothes and weapons. Immediately afterwards David began to be very wise, manifesting the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit-The Spirit of Truth/Wisdom). These same prophetic events happened to Joseph. Immediately after being clothed with the image (many colored coat) from his father Jacob, Joseph is given the gift of dreams and the ability to interpret their meaning.

Let's further analyze Joseph's gift and how it manifests itself:

  • The dreams are from God, they are not of his own making
  • The dreams upset those who are prophetic of God (Jacob, Rachel, and His Children)
  • Joseph provides no interpretation, his father and brethren interpret the dream. Joseph spends the rest of his life manifesting the dream for God.

What about Joseph's dealing with dreams after he has been forced into exile (descend)?

  • Joseph has no dreams in the house of Potiphar where he loses his garment in an attempt to flee his master's wife's attempts to join with him.
  • Joseph is forced to descend again, now into the Egyptian prison, where all the prisoners are committed into his hand (very Messianic overtones)
    • Genesis 39: 20And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. 21But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
    • We cannot overlook the great implications of this scripture in the light of it manifesting the nature of our present reality in the manifest universe. Joseph, a picture of the Messiah, Ascended Consciousness, is imprisoned (crucified) in the manifest universe where all the King's prisoners are. All the prisoners in this prison are committed into Joseph's hand (Messiah's hand) and whatever we do here is because Joseph (Messiah-Ascended Consciousness) is the doer of it.
  • Joseph has no dreams of his own while in the prison of Egypt. He only interprets the images and symbols of other people's dreams.

Let's take a look at who Joseph interacts with in the prison and how they are both images of those who are redeemed and those who are not. Both interact with the Messiah figure, Joseph. Each have a dream, are told the meaning of the dream by the Messiah prophetic type, Joseph. Afterwards both live out their dream, just as Joseph is living out his dream.

Genesis 40: 2And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.  3And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.  4And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.  5And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.  6And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.  7And he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?  8And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

Notice the key issue that was causing the butler and the baker to be sad was that they had a dream. Let us suppose that they understood as we have been learning, that all dreams are communication from God. They are images of the mind of God that we are permitted to see as we sleep so that we may understand the greater realities. They were sad that they had communication from God, but could not understand what He was saying to them because they knew they had nobody to interpret the dream for them to tell them what God was saying.

Joseph reminds them that interpretations belong to God. Let us not skip over the implications of that statement. Unless God provides an interpreter for the images that He provides to man, the dream is still meaningless to us. That is why He must send an interpreter (Messiah-Ascended Dream Consciousness) to tell the recipient what the dream means. Without the arrival of the bound Ascended Dream Interpreter (Messiah) we are hopeless. This is the appearing of the crucified Messiah in manifest reality. He is the divine intercessor between God and Man providing this service in the inner Holy of Holies. He is not dreaming His own dream while in prison, He is serving as interpreter between God (the giver of the dream) and the imprisoned officers of the King (you and I).

As you read the story of the butler and the baker notice the key differences in their dreams:

  • The butler is changing the fruit into wine to serve Pharaoh (who is prophetic of God). He is providing a reasonable service to Pharaoh (prophetic of God, the Divine Unconscious Mind).
    • Romans 11:  33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 35Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. Romans 12:  1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
  • The baker has bakemeats in the 3rd basket on his head and it is served to birds, not Pharaoh (God-Divine Unconscious Mind). He is condemned to death as his dream foretold. We see this same imagery play out in the parables of Yeshua. Notice Yeshua is telling us about the Kingdom of Heaven and how the "man" delivers to His servants "His own goods", not their goods! We are commanded to change and improve what we have been given use of to return it to the "Man" when He returns. This is the same thing the Butler did for Pharaoh (prophetic of God-Divine Unconscious Mind) and caused him to be redeemed out of prison with the aid of Joseph (Ascended Consciousness-Messiah). This is what the Baker failed to do. He did not bring forth anything for Pharaoh in his dream. The bakemeats on his head were eaten by the birds and not by Pharaoh. He turned something into nothing for Pharaoh (God), just like the unprofitable servant..
    • Matthew 25:  14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.  15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.  16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.  17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:  25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.  26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:  27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.  28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
    • Like the unprofitable servant, Pharaoh's baker is cast out and sentenced to death for failing to produce anything for Pharaoh (God). The baker is associated with the bread of affliction and thereby death. The butler is associated with turning grapes into wine and serves it to Pharaoh (God) and thereby life!

The one who is imprisoned and managing to change what is given to him to serve it back unto God is redeemed and ascends out of the prison with the help of the Ascended Dream Interpreter (the Messiah-Ascended Consciousness) who provides accurate interpretation of images from the Mind of God and brings forth Wisdom (truth) for the service of Pharaoh (prophetic of God).

So what are the problems that cause the baker to be condemned?

  • He does not effect change for that which is given to him
  • He does not bring forth change (refinement/ascension-truth & Wisdom) for God (Pharaoh)
  • What the butler "has" is served to the creature and not the creator

So let us continue to evaluate when Joseph dreams and when he interprets. Two full years after his last interpretation, Pharaoh (God) has a dream and the butler calls him into remembrance and mentions him to Pharaoh. Again this is not Joseph's dream, he is serving to interpret the meaning of the dream(s). This is the same role as the Messiah, the intercessor between God and man.

Genesis 41: 1And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.  2And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.  3And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.  4And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.  5And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.  6And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them. 7And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.  8And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh. 9Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:  10Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker:  11And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.  12And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.  13And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.  14Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

We cannot escape noticing that Joseph's ascension out of the prison happens at the end of two full years from when he appeared in the dungeon with the Baker (bread) and the Butler (wine) and the prophetic implications that this may bear. It is with the butler's remembrance of Joseph that Pharaoh's dream can be interpreted. There is no one else who can interpret Pharaoh's dream.

As soon as Joseph (Messiah-Ascended Consciousness) ascends out of the prison, he is clothed with a new garment and appears before Pharaoh (God). So the young man who has lost his outer and inner garment has now regained his garment in order to appear before the Pharaoh. Joseph is still not interpreting his own dreams even though he has ascended out of the prison. He is now interpreting the dream of Pharaoh (prophetic of God-Divine Unconscious Mind). Joseph is manifesting his own dream as he lives day to day life.

Joseph makes several things quite clear about Pharaoh's dreams:

  • The two dreams are actually one divided dream
  • Within the dream you see dual/bi-polar imagery:
    • 7 well favored kine who eat in the meadow and 7 ill favored kine that eat the well favored kine
    • 7 good ears and 7 withered and thin ears that devour the good ears

We must remember that dreams and the manifest universe are manifestations of the images of God's mind. We cannot escape the conclusion that the Divine Unconscious Mind (God) is dual, bipolar, and brings forth both good and bad. Once Joseph makes the meaning of the dream known to Pharaoh (God), Pharaoh declares his blessing upon the Countenance of the King, Divine Consciousness (Messiah-Dream Interpreter)!

Genesis 41:  37And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.  38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?  39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.  41And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.  42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;  43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.  44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.  45And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.  46And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

Once again Joseph is linked to everyman in Egypt, just as he was linked with everyman in the prison. Joseph is prophetic of the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness-Countenance).

  • Genesis 39: 22, "... keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it."
  • Genesis 41: 44, "... and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt."

It is through this accurate interpretation (utterance/word) of the symbols and images of God (Divine Unconscious Mind) that the Messiah is revealed and made known unto Pharaoh (God) and is made ruler of the Kingdom. Joseph is now clothed with new garments again after having ascended out of Pharaoh's prison.

So notice Joseph (Messiah, Ascended Consciousness) lost his garments twice as he descended and regained His garments twice as he ascended while interpreting the dream of God (Pharaoh) and Pharaoh's officers-(Butler & Baker). Notice even Pharaoh's (God's) officers are dual/bi-polar, one is associated with life and redemption and the other is associated with death and condemnation. Joseph ends up serving both in addition to Pharaoh.

We need to stop looking at this segment of scripture as having to do solely with the end times and start looking at it as a pattern of the greater reality. We would do well to do the same with Daniel and the Book of Revelation.

The story concludes with Pharaoh (God-Divine Unconscious Mind) declaring a blessing on Joseph (the ascended consciousness/countenance-Messiah-dream interpreter).

Genesis 41: 38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

Pharaoh goes full circle from condemning Joseph to the prison to exalting him to being the countenance of the King. This is the same pattern that we just experienced with Saul and David. First Saul condemns Jonathan and David and goes about trying to kill him and then later pronounces his blessing upon David and grants him the kingdom.

We cannot help but notice that the reconciliation between Joseph and his brethren, those who stole his garment and condemned him to descend to Egypt, does not occur until the fulfillment the 7 bad years begins and his brethren are also forced to descend to Egypt in order to survive. After several interactions between Joseph and his brethren, Simeon is imprisoned and the brothers are commanded to bring Benjamin back to Egypt so that Simeon may be released.

They are told if they do not bring Benjamin down, they will not see Joseph's face (countenance again). This is the final goal: to bring Benjamin down to become bound to Joseph! This is the same imagery as Jonathan and David's souls uniting and become as one "knit garment". This is the union of the Redeemer and the Redeemed.

Genesis 43: 3And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Once Joseph's brothers return to Egypt, Joseph maneuvers them into a no-win position. Joseph requires his brother Benjamin to become his servant. This is a picture of the joining of the Redeemer (Messiah) and the Redeemed.

John 15: 14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.  15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.  16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

We move from being servants to being sons through our joining with the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness).

Romans 8:  14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Joseph's goal is to make Benjamin his servant, to turn the dual/bi-polar brother into the servant (uni-polar/life) of the Countenance of the King (Ascended Consciousness). Remember Benjamin's name is dual in nature, sorrow and son of the right hand.

Genesis 35:  16And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.  17And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.  18And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.  19And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

The mother's naming is associated with sorrow (left hand) and the father's naming is associated with the right hand (redemption). He is the prophetic type of the redeemed. He must be joined to His brother the Messiah (ascended consciousness) who will turn his dream which is dual/bi-polar (joy and sorrow) to uni-polar (life). Hence, Benjamin must become the servant of His brother the Messiah (ascended consciousness-dream interpreter). Notice, that which results in the servitude of Benjamin to Joseph centers around Joseph's divining cup (that which he uses to interpret dreams) being found in Benjamin's seed. On a deeper level, this is the fundamental nature of reality and what is occurring in the universe and mankind, our inner dual conflict and our ultimate redemption being secured through our servitude to the dream interpreter (the Messiah-Ascended Consciousness).

Genesis 44:  2And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.  3As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.  4And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?  5Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.  6And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.  7And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:  8Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord's house silver or gold?  9With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord's bondmen.  10And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.  11Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.  12And he searched, and began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin's sack.

Notice the brothers offer the guilty up to die and to become the slaves of Joseph and he keeps rejecting their offer and cites his own terms. They will all go free, but Benjamin will become his servant. The prophetic David must be joined to the Jonathan! These events look harsh at first glance, but this is the way of crucifixion. What they had intended for evil, God meant for good. Let's also notice that even Judah recognizes the intimate connection between Joseph and Pharaoh.

Genesis 44: 18Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.

The tie between Pharaoh (prophetic of God-the Divine Unconscious Mind) and Joseph (the Messiah prophetic type-Ascended Conscious Countenance) is very intimate. One is the carrier of the power of the other. The Messiah (Joseph) carries the fullness of God (Pharaoh). He becomes the 2nd Chariot of Pharaoh. This same Chariot/Cart (carrier) is used to bring Jacob and his family down from Israel (heaven). Remember Jacob and his family are prophetic of God (the Divine Unconscious Mind).

We need to think about the deeper meanings of what is being implied here between the divine unconscious mind, the ascended conscious mind, interpretation of the communication of God (divining & dream interpretation), and the redemption of the dual/bi-polar brother of the redeemer.

This whole redemption process focuses on these issues; the ascension of thought and the divine service of the Messiah who "is even as Pharaoh". The goal of the Messiah (Joseph) is to get the Father to release the dual Benjamin (us) so that he can be joined with Himself and also ascend. Ultimately we must descend and lose our garments in order to ascend and gain a better garment, the garment of the King (Ascended Conscious Countenance-Ressurection).

Just as we see in the book of Revelation regarding the great tribulation, at the revealing of Joseph, the one prophetic of the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness) we see the "troubling" of His brethren.

Genesis 45:  1Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.  2And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.  3And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

Joseph tries to calm them by revealing to them God's purpose for their actions. He clearly asks them not to be grieved with their own conduct because it was all directed by God, just as the dreams foretold.

Genesis 45: 5Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life... 7And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

Joseph makes it quite plain that their actions were manifestations of the will of God and not their own. This is the same for everyday life for you and me. The universe is the manifestation of the mind of God (the one Divine Unconscious Mind). As the Divine Unconscious Mind is dual/bi-polar in nature as depicted by Benjamin (full of sorrow and redemption), it needs to be joined to the ascended dream interpreter (Messiah-Ascended Consciousness) so that life may be preserved. The universe makes it seem that we are in the midst of randomness and chaos, but in reality we are manifesting the dream of the Divine Unconscious Mind (God) for the purpose of preserving life.

This redemption process results in the opening of their "eyes" so that they may see that is the "mouth" of the Messiah, the utterance/word of the Messiah that interprets between God and them. This is the divine service of the Messiah, the Utterance of God, the Spirit of Prophecy, which sees the images of YHWH's Divine Unconscious Mind and speaks it forth unto His brethren for the saving of their lives. This happens through His opening of their "eyes"/souls, so they may see Him speaking those images to them.

Genesis 45: 12And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.  13And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.  14And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.  15Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.

The result is that all of his father's house and his father descend into Egypt with him so that the Ascended Consciousness (the Messiah) can preserve all their lives through the famine. Take note of the special gifts given to his brother Benjamin and to his brethren. They are all given changes of raiment. Remember what we discussed in the prior chapters about the joining of garments and what occurs after death (disrobing) and in the resurrection (receiving a new garment).

Genesis 45:  21And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.  22To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.  23And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.  24So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.  25And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,  26And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.  27And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:  28And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

The joining of the brothers with Joseph (Ascended Consciousness) brings a fresh change of raiment (resurrection garment-ascended consciousness) and for Benjamin it also brings the money of redemption (silver) and 5 changes of raiment. We will not take the time to explain how the number 5 is associated with grace and the completion of holiness (being separated unto the Lord). Notice when Jacob (prophetic of God) hears that his son is alive he faints and is only revived when he hears both the testimony of his sons and sees the wagons Joseph sent to carry him to Egypt. Remember again that ascended consciousness (the Messiah/Joseph) is the carrier (2nd Chariot of Pharaoh) of the Divine Unconscious Mind (God/Jacob). Remember Joseph is associated earlier with the second Chariot of Pharaoh.

Genesis 41:  40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

Once again we see the connection made between the mouth and word of Joseph in relation to his ruling Egypt in the stead of Pharaoh and that no one will lift hand or foot without Joseph (Ascended Consciousness). Earlier we saw the opening of Joseph's brother's eyes (souls) in relation to seeing that it was Joseph's mouth that spoke with them. This is the divine prophetic role of the Messiah as intercessor between God and Man in the Holy of Holies, the Sprit of Prophecy interpreting between God and man and relating to God what is the truth. Notice Jacob when he was told that Joseph was alive did not know who to believe and as a result fainted away until he personally saw Joseph's chariot for Jacob to ride in. The Messiah (ascended consciousness) is the 2nd Chariot of the King (Divine Unconscious Mind).

Just as Pilate demanded to know what is truth, Pharaoh demanded to know the meaning of his dream, and Nebuchadnezzar, so does Jacob. But like Jacob, God needs us to tell Him what is the truth. Just as Job was falsely accused by Satan, God tested Job in order that He could find out whether the accuser was telling the truth or not. Job was left wondering why God was persecuting him. God wanted simply to find out the truth and needed someone else to tell Him. That is our divine service to God. We are to manifest His dream, to tell Him the interpretation thereof, to tell Him what truth is. That is the meaning of our lives, both full of joy and sorrow.

This persecuted life is followed by redemption and joy. Sorrow is turned to joy. The dual/bipolar is turned to uni-polar. The two opinions are reconciled into an ascended opinion. The Divine Unconscious Mind (God) rides in the Chariot of the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness). This causes fainting Jacob (God) to be restored to life so that He may descend and be preserved.

God reaffirms to Jacob in a dream that he should descend into Egypt. Notice again that God communicates to His servants through the images and symbols of dreams and visions of the night.

Genesis 46: 2And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.  3And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:  4I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

Let's take a look at the connections again. The scriptures are reinforcing that when Jacob goes down to Egypt it is symbolic of God going down to Egypt. And when the descension occurs it will be followed by an ascension. The whole purpose of the descension is summed up by God in the words, "...and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes..." Once again we see the connection between the hand of the Messiah (ascended consciousness) having physical contact with the "eyes" (souls) of God in order that they may then re-ascend.

Nothing more is mentioned in this communication from God to Jacob. Let's not take it lightly, but let the symbols and meanings be absorbed. The symbols, images, and patterns keep repeating thematically throughout the entire bible and we have been reading the surface level of these stories for millennia without absorbing the truths of what we are and why God has caused us to descend.

We have again reaffirmed the nature of reality, that we are manifestations of God, the Divine Unconscious Mind which is dual/bipolar in nature. We have descended for the purpose of survival and looking for intimate contact with Ascended Consciousness (the Messiah) so that our eyes (souls) may be made to see (Ascended Conscious holy/separated from the Divine Unconscious Mind) and remain as separated countenances of the King (Conscious Countenance that rides in the 2nd Chariot) with the shedding of our former garments and being clothed with the garments of the Messiah.

Let's examine this same concept of the rejection of one image (duality) for the acceptance of another (uni-polar), via the concept of the choice between two trees, one which is dual in nature and the other which is uni-polar in nature. We can look at the rest of the symbols in these stories in the same way.

Symbol Meaning Polarity
Tree of Life Final Redeemed State Uni-polar
Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil Current State Bi-Polar
Eyes Soul Single-Open-Full of Light, Double-Closed-Full of Darkness
Pharaoh Divine Unconscious Mind Dual
Jacob Divine Unconscious Mind Dual
Joseph Messiah-Ascended Conscious Mind Uni-Polar
Benjamin Redeemed-Servant of the Messiah Bi-Polar turned Uni-Polar when joined to the Messiah
Hand of Messiah Redeeming Action Deliverance from Bi-Polar
Mouth of Messiah Utterance of Manifestation Manifestation of the Images of God-Bi-Polar...Leads to the coming of the Hand of the Messiah
Chariot That which carries the Divine Bi-Polar in the unredeemed, Uni-Polar in the redeemed
Raiment Conscious Countenance separated unto God Old raiment (Bi-Polar) is replaced with new raiment (uni-polar)
Divining Cup That which permits the ability to interpret the Mind of God (mikva-manifest universe) Manifests along with the Bread of Affliction (cup=life, bread=death)

We can see the concept of duality/bi-polar in juxtaposition with uni-polar throughout the scriptures, so it would appear that the symbolism has some veracity. So let's go back and look at the concept of the manifest universe being compared to a tree and how that associates with the rejection of one image (tree of the knowledge of good and evil-dual/bi-polar) for that of another image (tree of life) and how this relates to the opening of the eyes and individual ascended consciousness.

Genesis 3: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.  7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
