As we learned in Chapter 2, the images of history are manifestations of the mind of God (YHWH). The real life history of Saul, Goliath, David, and Solomon, teach us about the one Divine Mind that manifests itself in all living creatures. Just as Yeshua stated to the wonder of many, “God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
Matthew 22: 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
We must puzzle over several things related to this scripture.
- Knowledgeable Torah observant scholars just learned something that they did not previously understand about the nature of existence and the mysteries of the scriptures.
- The Messiah teaches us about the unique relationship that exists between having a “God” and your state of existence, living vs. dead.
- YHWH is not the God of the dead faithful.
This last statement is the most puzzling of all. So if we take the paragons of the “faithful”, the quintessential samples of approval from YHWH, they either currently have no God since they are dead or they do currently have God and are hence still living. Yeshua’s statement seems to imply rather simply that YHWH is currently the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - they are living and are not dead.
Matthew 22: 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
Yeshua’s own statement is talking about the current and present state of that historic relationship of the fathers with YHWH. “God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
We cannot help but notice that this conversation with the Pharisees followed Yeshua’s parable related to the state of the resurrection in discussion with the Sadducees.
Matthew 22: 23The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 24Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 25Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: 26Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 27And last of all the woman died also. 28Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. 29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying...
So we have already learned that God (YHWH) is life and light and that all living things are animated (manifested) by His presence. This is the state of the temple having a God. The scriptures indicated that this relationship between the faithful and YHWH continues even after death. This is the question of the Sadducees who claimed there is no resurrection. The basis of their claim is that the earthly template for union of two in this life would and should be carried on in the resurrection because all things here are a template of those things that are above. Their point is that a woman through possible natural circumstances of life, will be joined to seven different men and that the ultimate state is to reunite the divided “one”. Since this goal cannot manifest itself in the resurrection because of her multiple unions, it must not be, hence there is no resurrection for the individual consciousness (countenance).
I would liken the Sadducees' belief regarding the final state of man to that of the Eastern religions: the ultimate state is the reunion with the Divine Unconscious Mind (YHWH) and that there is not individual conscious states after death. The Eastern religions call this Nirvana - is likened to a state of nothingness. Man’s final and ultimate state is reunion with God with no independent thought or being.
Yeshua appears to be teaching quite the contrary. The relationship between God (YHWH) and man is a continuing living relationship between the Divine One Unconscious Mind and the individual consciousness (countenance) even after death. That relationship is current, present, and “is” now alive. This seems to be affirmed by Yeshua’s own statements about the earthly quintessential goal of two joining and becoming one and producing seed and a new image of the joining partners. This is viewed as being the ultimate goal of man, reproducing the image of God (YHWH). However, in the case above which was presented by the Sadducees the relationship fails to produce that seed and image and leaves the goal uncompleted. The ascension to resurrection is supposed to happen through a joining, similar to male and female uniting and producing seed. So the Sadducees are asking, if that joining fails seven times who is the woman joined to in the resurrection?
Yeshua’s answer is clear. They don’t understand the scriptures or the power of God.
Matthew 22: 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
This would appear to rule out the concept of reincarnation since resurrected souls would marry and are given in marriage in their next lives. We have already learned that the goal of existence is to tell YHWH what truth is. We do this by manifesting His dream and telling Him the meaning of His dream. The one Divine Unconscious Mind desires to become conscious and have His thoughts ascend. But like anyone who is in the midst of self discovery this process is fraught with longing and resentment. It is a conflict between desiring to stay in the current state versus desiring to grow and ascend in awareness.
Our ultimate purpose is not to continue in this current existence and repeat union over and over again. Our ultimate purpose is to join the left and the right and to cause the conflict in thoughts to synthesize and ascend. Hence the goal in the resurrection is not brought about by further joining of the male and the female - ascension and resurrection is the manifestation of already having done that on a divine level. We are here because we are manifesting that which is divided. In the resurrection we are manifesting that which is united. This is typified through our redemption through the Messiah Yeshua. He is the Countenance (Consciousness) of YHWH. He is the ascended thought of the One Unconscious Divine Mind. It is through our joining with Him that we also ascend and are resurrected. There is no further need for union and joining.
So let's recap.
Yeshua the Messiah is:
- The Countenance of the Divine Foreign King (One Divine Unconscious Mind who is manifested in all living)
- The ascended thought of the Divine Unconscious Mind
- The Countenance of YHWH
- The awaited angel that redeems
- Without which there is no resurrection
- The unifier of left and right
- The Tzion-graft of the branches
- The resurrector of the temples
- The image of the Divine Mind
- The fullness of the Godhead
- The Tree of Life
- The one we join with in order to ascend and become like the Angels of God in Heaven
- Loved and Hated of the Unconscious Divine Mind, first cursed then blessed
- The groom that the bride is joined to
So we know that if you have God, you are living. You may not be manifested here in this divided state. If you are joined with the Messiah, you “have” God (YHWH) and “are” “as the angels of God in heaven”. All these concepts are spoken of as present tense not as future tense.
So, to be joined is literal and present and real. To be divided would also mean it is literal, present, and real. We can then understand why Paul viewed the expectation of his death as no significant event.
2 Corinthians 5: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
Paul’s expectation is clear regarding death and resurrection: upon his death he would be manifested with the Messiah because that is who he is joined to. Paul’s statement follows immediately upon his comments about the departure of the Spirit (Ruach), Mind, Consciousness from the body (temple, tabernacle), which occurs at death.
2 Corinthians 5: 1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Paul speaks quite candidly about what is dissolved at death, the earthly house and tabernacle. The earnest of the Spirit (Ruach), our Minds return to God to be clothed anew, but this time with a heavenly house, not another earthly house. This is what Yeshua the Messiah has been preparing for us.
John 14: 1, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
So picture if you will that the Divine One Mind (Unconscious Mind) manifests in many houses (temples/tabernacles) as individual countenances (Consciousnesses) causing His thoughts to be manifest (the King’s dream is told to him and the meaning thereof). Through the Messiah (the manifest image of YHWH, the Ascended Consciousness of YHWH), many are joined to and redeemed by His Spirit (the Spirit of Prophecy).
The Spirit of Prophecy (the Messiah), the intercession of the Divine Unconscious Mind, is made known to us through accurate interpretation of images and symbols. Remember that Prophecy is likened unto speaking in tongues and needing an interpreter. This Spirit of Prophecy provides intercession and the Spirit of truth to others. It is only through the Spirit of Prophecy (accurate interpretation of the images of YHWH) that truth (Wisdom) can be discerned (the Holy Spirit). The role of the ascended dream interpreter (the Countenance of the King-Joseph, Daniel, David, Yeshua) is to tell the King His dream and the meaning thereof. The role of this ascended consciousness (the Messiah) is to join the divided kingdom, provide bread to the world, reunite the brothers, provided grace (5) to the divided brother, and redeem the consciousness of YHWH from death.
So Paul and Yeshua’s principal difference with the thought of the religious leaders of their day was that individual ascended consciousness does continue to exist after the dissolving of the earthy house. Also, the Ascended Consciousness and Identity remains independent and individual (alive) with a new heavenly garment. Hence the relationship of “having” God still remains intact. The conscious identity does not lose its identity and become a state of “nothingness” or nirvana. It goes to that husbandman that it was joined to and does not remain divided.
So if this is the case we must see in the Torah and the Tanach the basis for such a profound premise.
What patterns should we be looking for?
- A conflict between a divided and a Messiah prophetic type
- A prophetic type of a change of image
- A prophetic type of a love/hate relationship
- A prophetic type of someone who is cursed and blessed
- A prophetic type of a kingly garment (consciousness) being separated out by the anointed King
- A prophetic type of a change in rulership
- A prophetic type of the Son of the King gaining Truth (Wisdom)
We see all of these things in the lives of Goliath, Saul, David, and Solomon. Let’s recap what we learned in earlier chapters.
- Saul like God is “hidden amongst the stuff” dwelling in temples not made with hands
- Saul is reluctant to be made king, but then fights to remain king
- Goliath and Saul (type of the left and right side of God) are depicted as being “above” all other men
- Goliath and Saul are prophetic pictures of the Mind of God, divided and in conflict (these are images of Universal/giant proportions)
- Goliath is profane and unholy and Saul is embattled and tortured by evil spirits (One Divided Unconscious Mind in all things)
- Samuel is reluctant to anoint David King
- David is connected to the concept of being beautiful of countenance (individual consciousness)
- Saul is described as having a “countenance that changes”
- Their battle is at a stalemate until the appearing of the prophetic Messiah David (Ascended Consciousness)
- Saul tries to clothe David with his image, but David rejects it for his own tools of warfare, the armor is too heavy for him.
- David defeats the Profane side, yet Saul is still tortured by evil spirits
- Only David (Messiah-Ascended Consciousness) can dismiss the evil spirits by His gift of prophetic Song
- Saul like God is bi-polar in nature, both loving and hating the coming of the Ascended Conscious Countenance-(Anointed King)
- Saul uses David to do battle for him and resents him
- Saul (YHWH) seeks to kill David and exiles him to the wilderness (physical manifestation-universe)
With this as a foundation, let us look at the act of separating out the anointed King’s garment from King Saul’s garment. This is the prophetic template for what we were talking about above, the resurrection of the dead and the being covered with a heavenly house.
Remember the garment is a prophetic type of individual consciousness and continuing to be “alive” or have “God”, an unbroken link with life. So we are establishing the continuation of life or the “throne” of the anointed King.
1 Samuel 18: 1And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 2And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. 3Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. 4And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. 5And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
We see the first occurrence of the Son of the King becoming one with the Anointed Consciousness (David, the anointed King). The scriptures are depicting this unity between Saul’s son, Jonathan, and David as the meshing of souls or consciousness. Jonathan even goes so far as to clothe David with garments and tools of warfare. I cannot but help to see the prophetic connection between the anointing of the Messiah and His being one with God in this imagery. First David is anointed by Samuel, then Saul tries to clothe David in his image, but that image is rejected as it was too heavy for David to do battle with. Now in the next chapter, the Son of Saul clothes David with His image and David goes about the King’s business with Wisdom (truth).
So we see the concept of the “garment” connected to:
- One soul being knit to another
- Loving and joining of souls
- Joining of souls (images/consciousness)
- Clothing in the garments of the King’s son with doing the king’s business and behaving wisely (acting in truth)
- Just a couple of verses later Saul makes his first attempt to kill David (the anointed King)
- We have to begin to wonder if Jonathan joined to David is prophetic of the Messiah joined to fallen man (individual consciousness) which would explain why David is a bloody man and how his anointing to be king takes on validity through his soul being knitted to the heir to the throne (Jonathan). This could also explain how we become one with Messiah and joint heirs.
- Romans 8: 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- Colossians 2: 2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
1 Samuel 18: 8And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? 9And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. 10And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. 11And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice. 12And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.
The current King is resentful of David’s anointing and desires to remain King. Saul begins to hunt for David so that he might remove his right to the throne, his life, his anointing, his individual consciousness (countenance). Saul has two opinions about David and doesn’t know what to do about him. Saul begins to persecute and hunt for David in order to kill him. As described above with Jonathan and David being as one “knit” soul, killing David would be the same as killing his own son.
So the first time we see the connection of the anointed Messiah (Individual Consciousness/Countenance) being clothed with kingly garments, we see Saul, prophetic of God (Divine Unconscious Mind), shortly thereafter trying to kill the anointed one.
Shortly afterward we see Saul again trying to pursue and kill David and once again we see the removal of the garments of the King when under the influence of the Spirit of YHWH.
1 Samuel 19: 18So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth. 19And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah. 20And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. 21And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also. 22Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah. 23And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah. 24And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
Again I would contend that the events of history are telling us about the nature of reality and the mind of YHWH. The One Divine Unconscious Mind (Saul) is disrobing and taking on a new countenance when under the affect of the Spirit of YHWH. David (the Anointed Ascended Consciousness-Messiah-Spirit of Prophecy) is pictured as putting on the Kingly garments of the heir to the throne and Saul is pictured as removing his garments. He is conflicted about this choice and both loves and hates the nature of these events. We see a confirmation of this duality in the redeemed anointed one. With the added clarity of the meaning of these events we must question the simplicity of David being prophetic of the Messiah or if in reality it is Jonathan that is prophetic of the Messiah and it is David who is prophetic of the redeemed. We cannot say this lightly, but as we come to understand more of the meaning of the symbols, we begin to see that the role of the prophetic David is a joining of two into one.
How are David and Jonathan combined into one?
- Jonathan is a picture of a rebellious son who has become enlightened (partaking of honey in disobedience to Saul’s command)
- Jonathan loves David as his own soul
- David and Jonathan are as one garment knit together
- David and Jonathan meet in the field on the third day
- Jonathan takes the wrath that was meant for David upon himself
- David hides in a field (like the pearl of great price-soul hidden in earth)
- David is clothed in Jonathan's garments and weapons of war
- David becomes the brother-in-law of Jonathan through marriage to Saul’s daughter
- Saul gives up his garments on the third attempt to kill David and Jonathan joins David in the field (wilderness-material universe) on the third day
- Jonathan appears in the field on the third day to save David from the wrath of his father Saul (unconscious mind)
To an extent we must acknowledge that the role of the Messiah is fulfilled by the dual participation of the prophetic type of David and Jonathan. Neither can fulfill their role without the other. We see a confirmation that the Father (Saul) does mean to do David harm without the saving intervention of Jonathan (the redeemer). Saul both loves and hates David. Saul (Unconscious Divine Mind) is bipolar in nature and hopes for and fears the coming of David (individual conscious countenance).
It is through David’s relationship with Jonathan that he is saved alive. It is through the knitting of his garment to Jonathan’s garment that they both live and are able to escape the wrath of Saul (the Unconscious Divine Mind). Just as David had to escape Saul’s attempt to kill him, so did Jonathan. Their fate and their souls are tied in both life and death.
We also see the repeating theme of the "thought/mind" and the "word" and their relationship one to another. Just as Yeshua described that He did nothing that he did not see the Father do, and only said what He heard the Father say, we see the same relationship depicted with Jonathan and Saul.
1 Samuel 20: 1And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life? 2And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so. 3And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death. 4Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee. 5And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even. 6If thy father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family. 7If he say thus, It is well; thy servant shall have peace: but if he be very wroth, then be sure that evil is determined by him. 8Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the LORD with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father? 9And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee: for if I knew certainly that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, then would not I tell it thee? 10Then said David to Jonathan, Who shall tell me? or what if thy father answer thee roughly? 11And Jonathan said unto David, Come, and let us go out into the field. And they went out both of them into the field. 12And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee; 13The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father. 14And thou shalt not only while yet I live shew me the kindness of the LORD, that I die not: 15But also thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever: no, not when the LORD hath cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.
Other points to notice:
- The question of David is the same as Job, “What is my iniquity?”
- Why does Saul (God-Divine Unconscious Mind) want to kill me?
- Jonathan, prophetic of the Messiah, says what ever you ask of me, I will do it.
- Jonathan (Messiah) and David (Joined and made one with the Messiah) meet in the field on third day to show David if Saul (Divine Unconscious Mind) wishes to do him (conscious countenance) harm; He does
- The union of David and Jonathan is the Messiah prophetically
- Jonathan dies and David lives
- Jonathan provides David his garments and weapons of war
- Jonathan delivers David on the third day in the field (wilderness/material universe)
- Jonathan and David’s souls are knit together like a garment
1 Samuel 20: 30Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? 31For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die. 32And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done? 33And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David. 34So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame. 35And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him.
Jonathan has taken his father’s wrath upon himself for David’s sake. We cannot help but notice that Saul (Divine Unconscious Mind) fully understands the meaning of these events and tells Jonathan that his kingdom would not be established while David lives. Jonathan fully understands and welcomes this change of events as he loves David as his very own soul. Saul labors under the belief that Jonathan has a confused mind and brings shame to his mother. They thought the same of the Messiah Yeshua.
Matthew 11: 17And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented. 18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. 19The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
So once again it is through the knitting together of two souls that life is kept and death is avoided. Jonathan and David’s souls being knit together is the prophetic template of our joining to the Messiah (Ascended Consciousness-Countenance). This results in the establishment of our kingdom, our eternal life, our joining, our garment, our heavenly house. After that joining there is no necessity for joining again after resurrection. It is that joining that is the resurrection. It makes us free from iniquity, safe from the King’s (unconscious Divine Mind) command of death. It brings about the reality of “whatsoever your soul desires” as Jonathan put it to David. Yeshua said the same thing to us.
John 14: 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
As David is fleeing for his life, he goes to the tabernacle, takes 5 of the loaves of showbread and the Sword of Goliath, descends down to Philistia and the King of Gath. Let us not miss the fact that the last time David had a confrontation with the Philistines he took up 5 smooth stones out of the brook (living waters) and killed Goliath who was a picture of the profane side of the mind of God. First David smote Goliath with one of the smooth stones from the living waters and then took Goliath’s own sword and removed his head.
So once again we see the recurrence of:
- David fleeing for his life
- Taking the 5 loaves of shewbread from the tabernacle
- Taking the sword of Goliath wrapped in a cloth that was behind the Ephod
- David descending to meet with the King of the Philistines
- David is afraid of the King of Gath
- David taking on the countenance of a mad man scrabbling (making marks) on the door and letting spittle fall on his beard (We will not reiterate the prophetic meaning of the spittle of the Messiah and the effect it has upon opening the eyes of the blind or its appearance on the beard of the countenance of the Image of YHWH)
We see the same thing said of Yeshua the Messiah.
John 10: 19There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. 20And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? 21Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
We will also not take excessive time to remind that the mighty (principalities and powers) are confounded by the foolish.
1 Corinthians 1: 26For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
Also keep in mind how the Messiah gathers the poor, oppressed, weak, and needy and makes them strong.
1 Samuel 22: 1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him. 2And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
The pattern of Saul continues to show that he is prophetic of God (Divine Unconscious Mind). He is depicted as living under a tree (the Divine Father is the Root of the Tree-Daniel 4:23) with spear (Goliath was also depicted as having a huge spear) in his hand viewing all his bondmen as being traitors because they have not revealed to the King the covenant between Jonathan and David (ascended conscious countenance-The Messiah) or showing sorrow for the King. He also views his own son as stirring up his servant against him.
1 Samuel 22: 6When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;) 7Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; 8That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
We see the prophetic concept of God being the root of the tree that produces the Messiah reinforced in Isaiah.
Isaiah 11: 1And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Daniel also seizes upon this concept. Remember the foreign king (Nebuchadnezzar) is prophetic of YHWH (God the Father). Daniel is prophetic of the Countenance of the King, 2nd ruler of the kingdom, ascended countenance/consciousness. Daniel clearly gets what Nebuchadnezzar is prophetically saying to him and he stands for one hour completely astonished.
Daniel 4: 18This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. 19Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies. 20The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth; 21Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation: 22It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth. 23And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; 24This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: 25That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 26And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule. 27Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
The implications of this is prophetically astounding! This is the same prophetic pattern that we see with Goliath, Saul, David & Jonathan, and Solomon.
It is through this feeling of betrayal that Saul continues to hunt for David. Saul slaughters the priest of the tabernacle for giving aid to David by giving him the 5 loaves of shewbread and the sword of Goliath. Saul then proceeds on numerous occaisons to attempt to capture David. David and Saul finally meet in a cave in the wilderness. Keep in mind the significace of Elijah meeting YHWH in the Cave on Mt. Horeb and Moses meeting YHWH in the cleft of the rock.
Let’s remember what we have learned so far about the Countenance of the King, the Anointed King (Ascended Conscious Countenance), the Messiah, the Dream Interpreter, the Prophet, the Spirit of Prophecy that provides intercession for the Father (the One Divine Unconscious Mind), the Foreign King (Pharaoh, Saul, Nebuchadnezzar, Pilate) by accurately interceding between the Father and the Living by interpreting and manifesting the King’s dream and telling him what truth is. It is this ascended individual conscious countenance that is anointed and is joint heir with the King’s son, who provides his garments and image to us. Our souls are knit to His. He dies so that we might live. It is through the Spirit of Prophecy that the Spirit of Truth is provided to us.
The Spirit of Prophecy provides the accurate interpretation of the Mind of God (and His communication/tongues/images/parables) that allows us to accurately “hear” His voice and grow in understanding. This accurate intercession and interpretation of the Mind of God and His communication with us provides us with the Spirit of Truth (Wisdom), otherwise known as the Holy Spirit. It is this union that provides us our consciousness, our life, our light, our wisdom, our meaning, and our testimony to the King. It is our earnest of the Spirit that grows in the grace and knowledge of the Messiah Yeshua. It is through this divine union that we are knit into the Messiah so that you cannot tell where His soul begins and ours ends. This is the garment, the house, and the tabernacle that is the image of YHWH, the Countenance of God. Where two are joined together, let no man part asunder. Once this union has occurred, there is only one path, one way, one truth, one life. There is no further need for union as described in the question of the Sadducees in the resurrection.
But we have already seen that God (the One Divine Unconscious Mind) is ambivalent about this change. Let’s look at one more scripture showing the transference of the garment (image-Conscious Countenance) to the redeemer/redeemed. We will look at this chapter in full since it is one of the most enlightening scriptures confirming the role of the Messiah and the Anointed Ones.
1 Samuel 24: 1And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi. 2Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats. 3And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave. 4And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily. 5And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. 6And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. 7So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way. 8David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself. 9And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt? 10Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed. 11Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it. 12The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. 13As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. 14After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea. 15The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand. 16And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept. 17And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil. 18And thou hast shewed this day how that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the LORD had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not. 19For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the LORD reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day. 20And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand. 21Swear now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father's house. 22And David sware unto Saul. And Saul went home; but David and his men gat them up unto the hold.
Items of Note:
- David (Messiah) is in the Wilderness (material manifest universe)
- David and Saul meet but do not talk in the cave (within the temple)
- Saul admits to being David’s (Messiah’s-Anointed Conscious Countenance) enemy
- David cuts off a portion of the King’s (Divine Unconscious Mind) garment
- David (The Messiah's Anointed Conscious Countenance) sorrows over what he has done to the King’s anointed
- David calls Saul (Divine Unconscious Mind) his Father, even though Saul is trying to kill him
- David proclaims his innocence, “know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.” This is the same confession of Job.
- Saul acknowledges David as his son
- Saul sorrows over what he is doing in trying to kill David and confesses David is more righteous than him
- Saul admits he is David’s enemy
- Saul admits he knows David will be king and Israel will be established in his hand (picture of the Messiah)
- Saul proclaims a blessing on David, “wherefore the LORD reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day.”
- Saul asks David to swear that he will not cut off his seed or destroy his name.
- This is the same quandary of man…”why does God kill us?”
- Cursing proceeds blessing
- Exile proceeds exaltation
- Foolishness confounds the mighty
- Death proceeds everlasting life for individual conscious countenances (Ascended dream interpreters)
- The remnant of the garment of the King (Divine Unconscious Mind) is retained by the Conscious Countenance-Anointed King
- David's comments reaffirm Job’s comments and question the current view of a uni-polar God. Uni-polar is the redeemed final resurrected state of the Conscious Mind. It is the union of the two poles into one. Goliath and Saul are replaced by the union of Jonathan and David into one garment/image/house/tabernacle/conscious countenance. This is both the worst nightmare and most hoped for dream of the Divine Unconscious Mind and also the reason why life in this current world is the height of joy and the hell of despair. This is also the reason why God both loves and hates the coming of the Messiah and His anointed ones.
Now let's cover one final point about the union of Jonathan’s soul with David’s soul and how this is a picture of our being knit into the Messiah’s soul and His into our soul. We take His image and we become joint heirs with Him. Like Jonathan and David, if one is alive so is the other. Their souls are one, like a garment knit together.
Many want to simplistically view David as the Messiah and leave it at that. But if we look at the images of history we will see the infinite complexity and wonder of what YHWH is doing in all manifestation. Let’s remember from the scripture above how Jonathan is joined with David, dies for David, becomes one soul with David and gives David the legitimate claim on the throne (remember Pharez and Zarah) of Saul through the union of their garments (souls/images). We must be able to see profound highlights of Messianic significance in the life of Jonathan related to ascended consciousness and enlightenment that other men are not permitted by the command of the King!
Let’s take a look at the Chiastic structures related to Saul, Jonathan and David and see if they reinforce the concepts laid out so far:
- Replacement of the King
- Inadvertent disobedience of the King’s command resulting in Ascended thought (enlightened conscious countenance)
- Threat of death to the ascended conscious countenance (heir to the King-Divine One Unconscious Mind)
- The association of the staff (the image of YHWH) with enlightenment
- The King’s attempt to keep rulership and the people from scattering from him
Thematic Meaning: The Prophetic Meaning of Proper Sacrifice and "Gathering" the People:
1 Samuel 13:7-12-Thematic Analysis- Starts with Samuel tarrying 7 days (likened to the creation week), which is associated with the creation/manifestation week. David was recognized as king only in Judah the first 7 years of his reign and he rules over a divided (dual) kingdom. Saul rushed into offering inappropriate sacrifice to bring the People from being scattered from him. Could this be prophetic of the current state of the manifest universe? Divided, conflicted, and at war.
It started with the good intention of gathering the people to him and then right afterwards Samuel arrives and removes the Kingdom from him. We see this same inappropriate worship when Ephraim sets up altars not in accordance with the Torah and synchronized their religious observances with the people of the land, hence the outcome was their Diaspora into the wilderness of the nations.
C-1 Samuel 13:7And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
C-8a And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal;
B-8b and the people were scattered from him.
A-9a And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings.
CENTRAL THEME-9b And he offered the burnt offering.
A-10And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
B-11And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
C-12Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
So we see that Saul, who is prophetic of the Divine Unconscious Mind, is bringing forth images (sacrifice) that is not in accordance with the Torah of YHWH. The purpose of the sacrifices is to gather or retain people to Saul (the King-Unconscious Divine Mind). Saul as the prophetic type of the Divine Unconscious mind (YHWH) is doing battle with His enemies and in order to win the battle commands his troops to fast and go without food. Inadvertently, the heir to the throne, Jonathan, does not hear the command and eats honey from his staff, which provides enlightenment to His eyes (soul).
Thematic Meaning: The Enlightenment of the Ascended Consciousness/Countenance found upon the ground:
I Samuel 14: Thematic Analysis- Ephraim comes out of hiding in the caves of the Earth. Saul threatens that no man shall eat until evening. There is honey (Enlightened Consciousness/Countenance) available all over on the ground. Saul says anyone eating honey (Ascended Consciousness) will be cursed.
Jonathan eats the honey and says the victory would have been even greater if all of Israel had done so. A great stone, similar to that which covers a tomb, reveals Ephraim (Redeemed Conscious Countenances). This is similar to Lazarus in the tomb being called forth by the Messiah. The Messiah (ascended consciousness/countenance) rolls a great stone away so the living can be revealed from being in hiding.
I-1 Samuel 14:18: And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.
H-19And it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest, that the noise that was in the host of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw thine hand.
G-20And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture.
F-21Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan.
E-22Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.
E-23So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Bethaven.
D-24And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.
C-25And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.
B-26And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath.
A-27But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.
CENTRAL THEME-28Then answered one of the people, and said, Thy father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food this day. And the people were faint.
A-29Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.
B-30How much more, if haply the people had eaten freely to day of the spoil of their enemies which they found? for had there not been now a much greater slaughter among the Philistines?
C-31And they smote the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint. 32And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground:
D-32b and the people did eat them with the blood.
E-33Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.
F-34And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the LORD in eating with the blood.
G-34B And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.
H-35And Saul built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the first altar that he built unto the LORD.
I-36And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatsoever seemeth good unto thee. Then said the priest, Let us draw near hither unto God.
Thematic Meaning: The Prophetic Meaning of the rejected King (Divine Unconscious Mind) and the anointing of the Countenance (Image) of the King
D-1 Samuel 13: 11And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
C-12Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
B-13And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God,
A-13bwhich he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
CENTRAL THEME-14But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart,
A-14band the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people,
B-14Bbecause thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
C-15And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.
D-16And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.
Thematic Meaning: The Prophetic Meaning of the rejected King (Divine Unconscious Mind) and the anointing of the Countenance (Image) of the King
1 Samuel 14: 37-46 It would appear that Jonathan is a type of Messiah. He does what is right to be refreshed and enlightened but it conflicts with the Oath of his father which leads to the people being faint in battle. He stretches forth his hand with wood/staff (His Image) and reaches for the Honey/Enlightened Conscious Countenance, which is an allusion to Yeshua the Messiah stretching forth his hands on the Cross in redemption.
As Saul has rejected Jonathan, so had God the Father rejected Yeshua the Messiah as being sin on the cross. “Father, Father, why have you forsaken me.” Similarly, Lots were cast to see who would get the Messiah’s garments (image/consciousness) and a lot was cast between Barabbas and Yeshua, and the people chose Barabbas.
Notice in verse 39 the one who saves Israel must surely die.
The people say to Saul that he should do what seems good to him. Saul's thought is that his son should die. The central theme is that the Messiah (conscious countenance) must be "taken" to death. The people were appalled by this and sought to redeem him. Notice the Perfect lot was Jonathan, as was the Messiah’s.
Notice Jonathan’s best friend is David, someone his father wishes to kill. Here his father’s judgment is turned against his own son. Perhaps through the covenant between Jonathan and David, Jonathan shares in the Kingship with David, like we do with Yeshua. Saul asks if God will deliver the Philistines into his hand but God doesn’t answer him that day, so as it was with the apostles asking if it was time for the Kingdom of Heaven. Yeshua indicated that only the Father knew and it was not given to them to know.
E-1 Samuel 14: 37And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.
D-38And Saul said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.
C-39For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.
B-40Then said he unto all Israel, Be ye on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seemeth good unto thee.
A-41Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.
CENTRAL THEME-42And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.
A-43Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die.
B-44And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.
C-45And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day.
D-45CSo the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
E-46Then Saul went up from following the Philistines: and the Philistines went to their own place.
So once again we see Jonathan joined/meshed with David. He shares in his trials as Saul wishes to kill them both for being what they are; ascended (anointed) consciousness/countenance gathering the people unto them. The picture of Messiah appears only with the meshing of Jonathan and David, both garments become one and ascend. It is this unipolar ascended conscious countenance that ascends to the throne in the place of the bi-polar God (Divine Unconscious Mind). The Messiah is the branch of the hidden root.
That is the reason that there is no further joining in the resurrection. Where the Messiah begins and we end there is no telling. We are one garment, one flesh, one body, one spirit, one life.
Revelation 3: 8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
We have also substaniated the claim that the King (Divine Unconcious Mind) is Bi-Polar in nature and both loves and hates the coming of the Messiah (Ascended Concious Counteance). The Father both hates and loves the Messiah, thus requiring both the cursing and blessing, death and life of the Annointed One. What then does Yeshua's statement to us mean?
Mark 8: 33But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. 34And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
Matthew 10: 37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
This is a good time for self analysis. Are you prepared to finish what you have started? Are you truly one with the Messiah? Are you an overcomer till the end?
1 Corinthians 6: 14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Once again we see the prophetic fulfilment of the meshing of the garments, souls, conciousness, countenance, body, and mind of the redeemer and the redeemed. This is the ressurection. This is the life. When one lives, so does the other.
