The "New" Covenant is made in the image of the "Old Covenant" ...

The "New" Covenant is a resurrection of the "Old" Covenant....

The Pattern of the Messiah is found in the tablets of the covenant ...

Paul was on trial for the resurrection of the covenant and the people of God!!

Book 3-The Countenance of YHWH:

Chapter 5-The Resurrected Covenant

Key Points:

  • YHWH is manifested via His images (Genesis 1:26).
  • Seeds are replicated and made new flesh via their images.
  • The covenant of YHWH (The Torah) is replicated and made into a resurrected image of the same utterances.
  • The new covenant is not new, it is resurrected.
  • The exiles of Israel are re-gathered and resurrected to life (Ezekiel 37).
  • Let's clarify what was wrong with the first covenant and what changed in the resurrected covenant. Hint: It wasn't the utterances...
  • The first generation saved from Egypt is associated with death and the second generation out of Egypt is associated with resurrected (ascended) life.
  • The first generation is associated with the Messiah and the second generation is associated with the image of the Messiah and the Resurrected Covenant.
  • Paul's testimony centers upon the "resurrection of the dead". What have we been overlooking about his testimony about the resurrected covenant?
  • The Messiah is resurrected, we are resurrected, and the covenant is resurrected! Life for all Stones!
  • We now understand why Moses and Elijah appear with Yeshua on the Mount of Transfiguration...and then disappear!
  • YHWH is raising up "rocks" to the glory of His manifested name!
  • How is the Countenance of YHWH associated with the removal of the first covenant (Torah) and the resurrection of the Covenant (Torah)? Let's look behind the veil of Moses.

Today we will be learning about the resurrected covenant and we will clear up some common misunderstanding about the concepts of an old and a new covenant.

We will also see the prophetic pattern that shows how the first generation of Israel that was saved from Egypt is associated with death and the second generation that came out of Egypt is associated with resurrected and ascended life. This first generation is associated with the Messiah and the second generation is associated with the image of the Messiah and the Resurrected Covenant.

We will review how Paul's testimony centers upon the "resurrection of the dead". What have we been overlooking about his testimony about the resurrected covenant? The prophetic image/pattern/fractal shows that the Messiah is resurrected, we are resurrected, and the covenant is resurrected! Life for all Stones!

By the conclusion of this study we will understand why Moses and Elijah appear with Yeshua on the Mount of Transfiguration...and then disappear!

We will also see the prophetic tie between the shattered tablets of stone that the covenant were written upon and our divine purpose.  YHWH is raising up "rocks" to the glory of His manifested name!

We will examine how the Countenance of God is associated with the removal of the first covenant, the Torah, which was initially associated with death and judgment.  And then is associated with resurrection of the Covenant (the Torah of Moses) under the administration of the Messiah via grace.  We will do a close examination behind the veil of Moses and what these images mean prophetically in regard to the Messiah.

We are about to discover the wonder of the resurrection. This study will show you the repeating image and fractal of resurrection and clarify whether or not the "New Testament" is different from the "Old Testament".

We will find this repeating image in the scriptures.

  • The Messiah is resurrected.
  • The People are resurrected.
  • The Covenant is resurrected.
  • The pattern and image repeats itself showing the Glory of YHWH manifested.

We will review an easy Chart to determine if you are under the judgment/condemnation of God! Many Christians, Jews, and Messianics will be SHOCKED!

If you agree that the breaking of the tablets given by God at Mt. Sinai shows the annulling of the first covenant due to the people's disobedience, and subsequently required a new set of tablets, which are representative of our hearts under the "new" covenant, we might question, "what is written on the new set of tablets"?

Exodus 34:1, 1And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

The very same covenant and the very same words that were on the first set of tablets are written on the new set of tablets. The only changes were 1) the location; stone versus our hearts and 2) the administrator, the manifested Name of the Lord, "YHWH". The first covenant was under the administration of condemnation and judgment (death), the second set of tablets is under righteousness and grace/mercy (resurrected life). The new administrator is the Messiah Yeshua (the Name of YHWH made manifest and declared).
We will examine the scriptural proof of this fact.

We also need to reconcile another issue.

Modern Christianity’s testimony is that the law (which is called the Torah-the first 5 books of the “Old Testament”) is done away and that we do not need to keep it. Yeshua, in his keynote address to the people of his public ministry, clarifies His position on the Torah (the law). Yeshua says, the Law/(the Written Torah) is not done away.

Matthew 5: 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Yeshua also clearly taught that the testimony of Moses and the prophets was sufficient witness to provide salvation to the people and if they didn't listen to Moses and the prophets, they would not listen to Yeshua, someone who rose from the dead.

Luke 16:19There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Yeshua says via this parable that the Torah is sufficient testimony for salvation. But, the written Law of Moses/the Torah states that His covenant people are not to listen to anyone who teaches people not to keep the Torah. How do we reconcile this paradox if modern Christianity's teaching about the covenant/law/Torah being done away is accurate?

The Law of Moses/the Torah says that those who turn away from the Torah/the Law are cursed.

Deuteronomy 29:18Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

19And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: 20The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

21And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:

So Yeshua must support the Law/the Torah since He said via a parable that Moses (symbolic of the Torah) and the Prophets (symbolic of the call to repent and return to the Torah/the Law are sufficient testimony for salvation. Moses told the people to ignore those who do not teach obedience to the Torah.  What does this mean since Yeshua was endorsing Moses and the Torah?  Yeshua taught that Moses and the Prophets is sufficient testimony of salvation to the people.

Keep in mind it was YHWH who gave the Law of Moses/Torah to Israel. So Moses, YHWH, and Yeshua must always agree. If we cannot reconcile this apparent paradox then we are still confused over grace versus Law (Torah). Either Yeshua supports the Torah, or by His own words He has condemned Himself by saying that Moses and the Prophets is sufficient testimony for salvation.

Many people hold inaccurate and unscriptural doctrines because they are not taught accurately what Paul was teaching was “done away”. Paul’s teaching is consistent with Yeshua's testimony.   They both state that the traditions of men/the Rabbis- (also called Oral Torah) are not required of a believer in order to be saved. Paul also clarifies that it is the "handwriting of ordinances" or writ of transgressions that show our violations of the Law/the Torah that is taken care of by the work of the Crucifixion. It is the writ of our transgressions of the covenant-called the Law or the Torah that is nailed to the cross and is covered with the blood of the Messiah.

Colossians 2: 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Again, this is a document showing our violations of the Law of Moses, the Covenant, the Written Torah. This document nailed to the cross is not the Covenant itself.

Many Christians still don't know about the ongoing argument between the Judaic rabbis over whether only the Written Torah is required for obedience, or whether the rabbinical created "fence around the Torah" called the Oral Torah, is also required.

Orthodox Rabbis, also known as Pharisees, teach that both the Written and the Oral Torah, called the traditions of Men or the Rabbis) are required to satisfy YHWH and the terms of the Covenant/Law.  You find these rabbis in conflict with Yeshua throughout the gospels over this very issue.  Yeshua is consistent and clear in response to their rabbinical oral law.

Matthew 15: 8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Yeshua is clear, the written Torah is required.

The Traditions of the Rabbis (also known as the Oral Torah, the Commandments of Men, the Traditions of Men, the Mishna, etc) are not required to be in conformance with the covenant (which means you would be without sin). Paul reaffirms Yeshua’s declarations throughout the gospels that the Oral Torah is not required for a believer.

Colossians 2: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Paul is clearly saying that the Oral Torah/Law (the traditions of men) is not required.  Paul is not talking about the written Torah/or the Law of Moses.  There is a clear and distinct difference between the written Torah that Yeshua and Paul taught us to observe and the Oral Torah or the Traditions of Men that are clearly taught by Yeshua and Paul that are NOT required of believers to be saved.

This is the historical context of the debate that was ongoing in the lives of first century Christians.  It was NOT a debate of whether or not to keep the Law of Moses/The Written Torah.  This was clearly understood to be “the mystery of iniquity” or Lawlessness (torahlesness).  You will see this clearly in…

2Thesalonians 2: 7, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:  only he who now letteth will let untile he be taken out of the way.”

Notice how Paul in Colossians connects the issue of "traditions of men" with the nature of the Messiah and that He by nature is the "fullness of the Godhead bodily". Paul clarifies that the Administrator of the Covenant, the Messiah, is literally the Countenance of YHWH.

Don't forget this point as the whole central issue of the annulling of the covenant is thematically focused on the "countenance of Moses" and the veil that covered his face and their hearts. Remember Moses is a prophetic type of the Messiah. Paul goes on to clarify what has been done away.

2 Corinthians 3: 7But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

It was the administration of condemnation and judgment (called the ministration of death) that results in death for the covenant breaker, that was done away.

It was NOT the covenant which is called the Law, Torah, the Law of Moses.  It was not the people that was done away.  It was not the utterances that were done away.

Paul goes on to clarify the change of the administration of the flesh or death, to the spirit and the change of administrator to the resurrected covenant and to the resurrected administrator, Yeshua.

2 Corinthians 3: 8How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

11For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. 12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: 13And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

It is the administrator of the resurrected covenant as typified by the glorified countenance of Moses that the people are not able to view due to the veil covering his countenance.

It is this glorified righteousness that is provided by the Countenance of YHWH, the manifest "Name of the Lord (YHWH) that is the "end" or embodiment of His grace that transcribes His righteousness upon us via faith in His name. This is why Paul takes so much time associating the glorified countenance of Moses and the people's inability to view the fulfillment/completion/or the end of the promises of YHWH.

Romans 10: 1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Again, our righteousness under the resurrected covenant is not made by our works, but by the administrator of the resurrected covenant, the glorified Countenance of YHWH, the manifested Name of the Lord (YHWH), whom they could not behold because a veil was over His Countenance and over their hearts. We don't do the writing, Yeshua does the writing! The end and fulfillment of the promises was not a dead law written on a dead stone that brings death and condemnation. That was ended and a resurrected administrator is writing a resurrected Law/Torah on resurrected hearts. All of which are alive. That which is dead has ended, that which is made alive is now in effect as when the turning of the Covenant over to the new administrator occurred.

Judgment is replaced with grace, Death is replaced with resurrected life.  Remember this is not an end as in something “done away”.  This is an end as in a “prophetic completion or fulfillment”.  You could also view the concept of “end” as a manifestation or embodiment.  Yeshua is the manifest presence of the name of YHWH, the administrator of the resurrected covenant/Torah.  The scriptural pattern is showing us death and resurrection, not old and new.

2 Corinthians 3: 15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

Notice the patterns from the scriptures we have already read:

  • The administration of the flesh is abolished and replaced by the spirit.
  • The administration of death is replaced with a glorious countenance of the Messiah not covered by a fleshly garment which is symbolic of corrupted life replaced with resurrected life.
  • The veil that covered the glorified countenance of Moses is taken away so that we can behold the image of YHWH, the countenance of the Father, the image of God.

Colossians 2: 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:...

2 Corinthians 2: 3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

The hiding of the countenance and image of God, the Messiah Yeshua, is done away. Notice the veil is done away in Christ and that happens when the administration of the covenant turns to the Messiah and that the veil of blindness is taken away.

The Countenance of God, the Messiah is then revealed. This prophetic pattern is scriptural and comes straight from the Written Torah, called the Law of Moses.

Deuteronomy 18: 17And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Remember Moses is a prophetic pattern of the Messiah. One is an image of the other.

Notice Paul's comment that the administration of the flesh changes to the administration of the Ruach Hakodesh (the Holy Spirit) with the turning of the administration over to the revealed countenance of YHWH, the Messiah, so that we can behold Him via an "open countenance as in a mirror", having our images changed to conform to the image of the countenance of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.

Romans 8: 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

This uncovered Countenance or Image is then transcribed onto us.  There are wonderful truths to this mystery within the Aaronic blessing which is all about the transcribing of the countenance of God, which is the Messiah, upon the believer.

This scripture clarifies what was wrong with the first covenant/Torah...

Hebrews 8: 6But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

The fault was not the words or the utterances of the covenant, the Law of Moses, the Torah, the Law.  The fault was with the people violating the covenant… "finding fault with them". That is why the words of the second set of tablets (the renewed or resurrected covenant) are the same as the first set of tablets (the original covenant-The Torah).

What changed?

  • The location, the heart versus stone
  • the administration, grace versus judgment/condemnation
  • the administrator (the Name of YHWH manifested-the Countenance of YHWH)

So if YHWH is consistent we should also follow the imagery that was presented at the giving of the covenant, the Law, Torah, to understand the significance of the dual giving of the Torah.

To put it plainly, one is made in the image of the other. The old was broken and crushed and buried underneath the mount, which ultimately caused the death of the first generation as they died in the wilderness. The "New" Covenant-the Law of Moses, the torah, was resurrected in the image of the old.
It had the same words (utterances). They were both written by the Finger of YHWH. The resurrected or renewed covenant was now established with better promises and were to be copied onto tablets that were not directly carved out by the Hand of YHWH, but were carved out by Moses in the valley, and were then brought with him when he ascended the mountain when the covenant was resurrected.

Remember the first set of tablets were carved out at the top of the Mountain by God and then were engraved by His finger.  Those tablets were then broken by Moses when he found the people of Israel worshipping the Golden calf at the base of the mountain.  This was the breaking of the covenant, the Law of Moses, the Torah.

God then commanded Moses to carve out a new set of tablets at the base of the mountain that he was to then bring up to the top of the mountain so that God could re-write the same utterances on the second set of tablets.  This is the renewal or resurrection of the covenant, the Law of Moses which is called the written Torah.

We can now better understand the ministry of Paul and the significance of why he was put on trial. His continual efforts to re-gather the northern 10 tribes of Israel (which are called gentiles) is centered around his testimony of Yeshua the Messiah and His resurrection.

As the Messiah was broken/crushed and buried in the ground, so was the first covenant which bore the administration of judgment and condemnation, prophetically pictured by the breaking of the first set of tablets given at Mt. Sinai.

Exodus 34:1, 1And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

When the Messiah was resurrected so was the image of the first covenant-the Torah, the Law of Moses, but was now based upon better promises and with a new location, our hearts.  Notice the utterances and the words are the same on both sets of tablets!  When Paul testified about resurrection he was not only talking about the messiah or His followers.  He was also talking about the Law of Moses, the written Torah with its new administrator, Yeshua the Messiah.

Acts 23: 6But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. 7And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.

The multitude was divided because the Sadducees did not believe in resurrection, but the Pharisees did.

With the resurrection of the Messiah and the Covenant (the written Torah), Paul was working to re-gather those who were viewed as unclean and exiled (dead). These are the Torah breakers from the dispersed northern 10 tribes of Israel. But keep in mind Judah is also under the resurrected covenant (Torah) and its new administrator. There is no "pass" on the administrator, if you think you have the covenant/Torah!

The Torah will not save you, the new administrator is the only one that can do that.  So those who say they have Yeshua but don’t keep the written Law of Moses are still under condemnation, as are those from the house of Judah that say the keep the written Law of Moses, the Torah, but have rejected it’s resurrected administrator, the Messiah Yeshua.

Keep in mind there is only one pattern of redemption, the way of life.  There are never two covenants that run concurrently for the covenant people of God. There is only one!  The Messiah is resurrected, the Written Torah of Moses is resurrected, the people that are in covenant with YHWH via the new administrator, the Messiah Yeshua are resurrected.  The prophetic pattern or fractal replicates itself in all aspects of the covenant.

Like the Law, it brings forth first death, then resurrected life.  Like the Messiah, who was broken for our iniquities and then is  resurrected to eternal life.  Like the believer who must first die and then be brought forth to glory through their individual resurrection, passing from death to life, from corruption to incorruption, from condemnation to grace.  There is only ONE way of salvation in the scriptures now matter how far you back or forward!

Exodus 12: 49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. 50Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

Again there is only one pattern of redemption, salvation, and glorification.  None are exempt.  None can save themselves.  There is only one written Torah of Moses, which is our covenant with YHWH.

1 Corinthians 12: 12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14For the body is not one member, but many.

Can we be any clearer?  There is only one way, one body, one spirit, one baptism…for Jews and gentiles.  Period!  Let’s be extra clear.  That body is not Judah, it is not Israel.  We are not grafted into Judah or Israel.  Yeshua the Messiah is the tree both Jews and gentiles are grafted into.  If you are not grafted into the new administrator, you are not associated with resurrected life.

There is one body, one spirit, one resurrected Law/Torah, one resurrected administrator! Jew or Gentile, Bond or free, at home or in exile! Two are made one in the administrator of the resurrected covenant, Yeshua the Messiah. This was Yeshua and Paul’s testimony.  You have to twist and pervert scripture to make it say anything else.

The written Law of Moses brought forth first condemnation and death, then it brought forth life under the new administrator, the manifest name of YHWH.  We see the presence of the new administrator at the second giving of the tablets, with the manifest presence of the name of the Lord.  Take notice how the manifestation of the new administrator is connected with seeing the glory of the God and the desire to behold His countenance.

Exodus 33: 13Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.  14And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.  16For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.  18And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.  20And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

21And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:  22And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:  23And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Notice all of the thematic patterns related to the resurrection of the Covenant, the Law of Moses.

  • Grace is given
  • Confirmation of receiving God’s grace is that His presence goes up with you.
  • The believer is known of God by name.
  • The name of the Lord is proclaimed/declared/made manifest before the believer.
  • The glory and goodness (grace) of God passes before the believer and he will have the desire to see the countenance of God.
  • The believer will be able to behold the back-parts (end) of God.

It is after the presentation of the new administrator of the Law of Moses, the written Torah, the presence of God, manifest Name of YHWH, the Countenance of God, the grace and goodness of YHWH, the Way, that we have immediately following the presentation of the resurrected covenant, the written Law of Moses, the same utterance as the first covenant.

Exodus 34: 1And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

2And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.  3And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.

4And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.  6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

8And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

9And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.  10And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

Notice again the following patterns:

  • The fractal or prophetic pattern of the resurrection of the utterances that were written on the first set of tablets.
  • The fractal of the ascension of the tablets (prophetic of our hearts) carved out by Moses.
  • The fractal of the presentation of the manifestation of the declared Name of YHWH who is associated with grace, the Messiah, the Countenance of YHWH.
  • The fractal of Moses worshiping the manifest declared name of the YHWH (the Messiah), the new administrator of the resurrected covenant.
  • The resurrected Law of Moses appears immediately with the glorified manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah promising to do marvels before the people of the covenant.

This is the “resurrection” that Paul was preaching to Judah and to dispersed Israel.  He was not just talking about the resurrection of the Messiah, or our resurrection.  He was also talking about the resurrection of the covenant for all of Israel and the reunification of all the tribes of Israel and Judah.  Unfortunately there were many rabbis, Pharisees, and Sadducees that disapproved of this message of resurrection.  They thought those exiled Israelites were still unclean, dead, and should remain in exile.

They refused to acknowledge the administrator of the resurrected covenant, the manifest/declared name of YHWH, the Countenance of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.  They remained under the old administrator and the Torah that brought death and judgment.  The did not become grafted into the manifest Name of YHWH, the fullness of God bodily, the Messiah Yeshua and become covenanted with resurrected life and the resurrected Torah, the same utterances as the first covenant, but now written in our hearts and not on stone.

Acts 21: 27And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, 28Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place. 29(For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesians, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)

It was through this outreach to the exiled 10 tribes that Paul was brought up on charges of stirring up the people.

Paul made it clear that the central issue for his trial was the "resurrection of the dead", as it pertained to the his testimony regarding the breaking/crushing/death/burial and resurrection of Yeshua Messiah to life, the resurrection of the image of the written Torah (the Law of Moses), the Resurrected Covenant, and to the resurrection of the exiles of Israel (from their violation of the Torah) and now being under the administration of grace as provided by the testator/administrator/mediator and mediator of the covenant (Torah), the resurrected Messiah Yeshua.

Ephesians 2: 4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

We see the pattern of the Messiah in the "tablets" of the "old" and "new" tablets that the "same words" are written upon.

Exodus 34:1, 1And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

Lets look at the Patterns of the Giving of the Torah and its resurrection.

First Giving of the Torah

Resurrection of the Torah

Tables were carved by the Hand of YHWH

Tables were carved by the Hand of Moses

Tables were already at the top of the mountain

Tables ascended with Moses

Tables were carved with the 10 utterances of the Covenant-Torah

Tables were carved with the 10 utterances of the Covenant-Torah

Tables were carved with the Finger of YHWH

Tables were carved with the declaration of the Name of YHWH

Tables were carved in accordance with judgment and condemnation for violators, Exodus 32: 33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Tables were carved in accordance with "merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth" Exodus 34:6, " 6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

This declaration was done along with the assignment of the administrator of the resurrected covenant (Torah) the manifestation of the Name of the Lord (YHWH) being declared to Moses.

Tablets are broken, Exodus 32: 19And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

Tablets are Resurrected, Exodus 34:4And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. 5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Tablets are left broken beneath the Mountain

The second set of Tablets are placed within the Ark of the Testimony which abides within the Holy of Holies and leads the people as they journey.

Moses has no change of countenance at the first giving of the Covenant-Torah

Moses' countenance is changed at the resurrection of the Covenant-Torah. When he descends the mountain His countenance is covered by a veil and the people are afraid of his glory. The people withdraw from him and then return to him. This image of exile and redemption (drawing near) repeats. Exodus 34: 30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

Notice the passing on of the image of the manifest Name of YHWH to Moses’ countenance.  Being unable to directly observe the countenance of YHWH, it is transcribed onto the Countenance of Moses, so that all can behold the glory and manifestation of the Presence (fullness) of God.  This event happens in thematic connection with the “rock” and the”hand” of YHWH and His manifest name.

So concurrent with the giving and accepting of the covenant we see the same continuing patterns, images, and fractals.

  • The giving of the utterance of YHWH to the people.
  • The dual exact image of the Messiah, one with condemnation and judgment (death) and the other with grace and abundant mercy (resurrected life).
  • The dual exact image of the two covenants (the Torah) with the same words. The only changes are the administration with grace instead of condemnation and death and the presence of the new administrator, the Name of the Lord (YHWH).
  • The location where the stone tablets are obtained from changes. The first time the tablets are provided by YHWH on the top of the mountain (which is associated with seed that must die and be planted in the ground) and the second time the stone tablets carved out by Moses in the Valley (which is associated with grace and resurrected life, flesh, fruit, and manifestation).
  • The final location of the broken tablets is "underneath the mount" (buried in death), whereas the final location of the resurrected tablets are in the Ark of the Testimony in the Holy of Holies (in the presence of Life).

So let's remember the patterns of the Messiah and the covenant and how they are in the image of one another.

  • Messiah
    • First Coming of the Messiah ends in death
  • Covenant
    • First cutting of the covenant (Torah) ends in death.  The first generation dies in the wilderness.

  • Meaning
    • Romans 8: 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness... 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Notice there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile.  Both must have the Messiah Yeshua engrafted.  Paul is exact in his wording, “any man”.  Remember the Jewish branch was also cut off and the gentiles were engrafted.  All branches need to be engrafted into the Messiah Yeshua.

Romans 11: 13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:  14If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.  15For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

 16For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.  17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.  19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:  21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.  23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

The scripture is clear we are NOT grafted into Judah or Israel.  We are all (Jews and Gentiles) grafted in via belief in the administrator of the Resurrected Covenant, the Messiah Yeshua, the manifest name of YHWH.  There is NO other way.

  • Messiah
    • The first generation out of Egypt dies in the wilderness just as the Testator (Moses) of the Covenant does.
  • Covenant
    • The second generation of the wilderness ascend up out of a place of death (a place of no seed) to a place of ascended and resurrected life (Israel), just as their testator (Joshua) does.
  • Meaning
    • Joshua is the image of Moses.

Joshua 1: 7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. 8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest....17According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.

  • Messiah
    • The Messiah is the Seed, broken and planted in the ground just as John says,

John 12:23And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

  • Covenant
    • The image (copy) made by the Messiah is His flesh. The first generation saved from Egypt is a picture of the Messiah and the second generation that ascends to the land of Israel are the image of the seed, the flesh and body of the Messiah.
  • Meaning
    • 1 Corinthians 15: 37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

Ephesians 3: 5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Ephesians 5: 29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31For this cause shall a man leave his father

Messiah

Covenant

Meaning

First Coming of the Messiah ends in death

First cutting of the covenant (Torah) ends in death.  The first generation dies in the wilderness.

The first comings are associated with judgment and condemnation

Resurrection of the Messiah ends in eternal life

2nd cutting of the Covenant (Torah) ends in life.  The second generation in the wilderness ascends to the Holy Land which is a picture of resurrected and ascended life.

The resurrection of the administrator of the covenant and the covenant itself (Torah) ends in life (resurrection) for those under judgment (exiles).

The first coming of the Messiah is from Heaven

First tables of stone are cut from the top of the mountain by the hand of YHWH

The Messiah and the Covenant (Torah) descended from YHWH via His utterance. John 1:1-18.

The second coming of the Messiah is from within the hearts of His Covenant People

Second tables of stone are cut by Moses at YHWH's utterance (instruction) while he is in the valley under the shadow of the mountain These tablets need to ascend into the presence of the declared and manifest name of YHWH.

Romans 8: 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The scripture is clear we are NOT grafted into Judah or Israel.  We are all (Jews and Gentiles) grafted in via belief in the administrator of the Resurrected Covenant, the Messiah Yeshua, the manifest name of YHWH.  There is NO other way.

The first generation out of Egypt dies in the wilderness just as the Testator (Moses) of the Covenant does.

The second generation of the wilderness ascend up out of a place of death (a place of no seed) to a place of ascended and resurrected life (Israel), just as their testator (Joshua) does.

Joshua is the image of Moses.

The Messiah is the Seed, broken and planted in the ground just as John says,

John 12:23And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

The image (copy) made by the Messiah is His flesh. The first generation saved from Egypt is a picture of the Messiah and the second generation that ascends to the land of Israel are the image of the seed, the flesh and body of the Messiah.

1 Corinthians 15: 37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Just as the Messiah is replicating His image in us, making us the body and flesh of the Messiah (seed of the Kingdom of YHWH), He is replicating the image of the Covenant (the Torah) by resurrecting it from the broken state of death due to our iniquities and subsequent condemnation, to a new and lively image, resurrected and embodied in our fleshly hearts.

1 Peter 1: 2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

So being conformed to the image of YHWH through the work of resurrection of the Messiah and us, we become the temples of the living Father, the God who cannot be seen and live.

1 Peter 2: 4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

Again the scripture is clear for both Jews and Gentiles our belief on the new administrator of the resurrected covenant is required for our reconciliation to God the Father.  There are no exceptions.  We cannot establish our own righteousness.  We are dependent upon the manifest name of YHWH to exercise grace and transcribe His image upon us.  This is salvation.

5For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.  6But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

7Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)  8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The Messiah is the manifest “Name of the Lord”, otherwise known as YHWH.  He is the administrator of the Resurrected Covenant which bears the hallmarks of grace and faith.  Trying to establish your own righteousness by keeping the Torah and the Law without faith in the administrator, the manifest name of YHWH will only result in your judgment and condemnation.  It does not matter if your are Jew or Gentile.  There are no exemptions.

You are either under the Torah of Death or you are under the Torah of resurrected life.  In order to be in covenant under the resurrected terms you must acknowledge the Lord, the manifest Name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.  His sign of the covenant is resurrection.  If He was not resurrected from the dead, then He is not the manifest name of YHWH.

Some would misapply this scripture saying it only applies to the exiled 10 tribes of Israel.  The context of the scripture is extremely clear.  Israel is defined as those going about trying to establish their own righteousness without acknowledging belief in the resurrected Lord and Administrator of the resurrected Torah, the manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.  Again the keeping the Torah will NOT save you.  It leaves you under condemnation and death without the new administrator.

It is belief in the administrator of the resurrected covenant and His transcription of His righteousness upon us that saves us.  It then behooves us to keep the resurrected Law of Moses as it has now been transcribed onto our fleshly hearts through the work of the administrator, Yeshua the Messiah.

Notice Paul is exceptionally clear, “Romans 10: Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.”

The whosoevers are both Jew and Greek and both are required to acknowledge the administrator of the resurrected covenant in order to be saved.  It is not happenstance that Paul is clarifying it doesn't matter if you are Jew or Greek when it comes to coming under the manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.   Without doing so, you are not saved.

Paul started out this whole section of scripture stating about those who seek to save themselves by keeping the Torah still need to be saved!

This is talking about the Jews who had rejected the new administrator of the resurrected covenant.  The gentiles were not going about trying to establish their own righteousness.  They were not even trying to keep the written Torah.  Righteousness is defined as conformance with the Law and Torah of Moses.

So let us be clear there is no "new" testament or covenant per say. There is a resurrected and renewed covenant.

There is a resurrected Messiah.

There is a resurrected image, the body of the Messiah, those who are predestined by the calling of the Father.

Just as the Messiah's image is replicated, so also was the image of the Covenant (the Torah), from a broken stone to lively stones, from an administration of condemnation and death to an administration of grace and resurrected life.

Let's not miss the connection between the change in the covenant and the recognition of the "fullness of the Godhead bodily"

Colossians 2: beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.  6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:  7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

 12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.  13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

The work of the Messiah is to transcribe His countenance (righteousness) onto ours.

Numbers 6: 25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:  26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.  27And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.

We see this prophetic pattern immediately after the engraving of the resurrected covenant when the second set of tablets are brought down by Moses.  Notice Moses is changed by his encounter with the manifest Name of YHWH.

Exodus 34: 28And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.  29And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.  30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

Remember this is at the engraving of the second set of tablets.  Also remember Moses is prophetic of the Prophet that would come that would be like unto Moses, the manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua, the administrator of the resurrected covenant.  Notice the similarities with Yeshua’s glorification.  The people of Israel are afraid to come nigh to Him, just as they were afraid to come nigh to Moses with a glorified countenance.  Notice also these were the words and utterance of the covenant.  They were the terms of the covenant.  Because of Israel’s fear of Moses’ glorified countenance, he had to cover his face with a veil.

Exodus 34: 31And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.  32And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.

33And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.  34But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.

35And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

Coinciding with the removal of the veil covering the glorified countenance of Moses (who is a prophetic image/type of the Messiah) we have the glorification and resurrection of the covenant with grace and life to those stones that are made in the Messiah's image.

Failing to recognize the Countenance of YHWH, the manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua would lead to God intervening so that His name might be openly declared and sanctified and glorified in the "eyes of the people".

Numbers 20: 8Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

9And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.  10And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

11And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.  12And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Our great failure is not acknowledging He who comes in the name of the Lord, the manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua, who is the administrator of the resurrected covenant.  Our second great failure is failing to do as the manifest name of YHWH has commanded, to keep the resurrected Torah as a result of our faith in its administrator.

Luke 19: 37And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

39And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. 41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, 42Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

Notice the recurring theme that unless the anointed King is praised as coming in the name of YHWH, God would allow the "stones" to come alive and cry out the praise of God and the declaration of His name (the Messiah), the presence of the Godhead bodily, the Countenance of YHWH.

Remember the image of the seed, the broken tablets, left beneath the mountain, which are dead and planted in the ground like a seed, and the same utterances are proclaimed and engraved upon the new tablets (our hearts) with a new administrator (the manifest Name of YHWH, the Messiah) who is the administrator of better promises and the resurrected Torah (the Covenant) written in a better place, our hearts.

As we have already seen in earlier chapters Moses is associated with being a prophetic type of the Messiah Yeshua and Elijah is associated with the coming of the Name of YHWH being glorified in the peoples' presence.
Elijah and the Ruach Hakodesh (the Holy Sprit) come from the wilderness (which is a picture of exile) proclaiming the coming of the Countenance of the King, the Messiah, and are responsible for preparing the Way of YHWH, the repent and return to the resurrected Torah of Moses as when it was given at Mt. Sinai.

Matthew 3: 1In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 3For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Repent means to "return" to the former ways (the covenant/The Law of Moses).

1 John 3: 3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law (Torah): for sin is the transgression of the law (written Torah). 5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

This law as stated in 1 John is the same as ever. It is the Torah of Moses. It is not Roman law. It is not some self-determined moral law.

It is not the Oral Torah (traditions of the Rabbis).

It is the Torah of Moses given by YHWH at Mt. Sinai. Yeshua stated that Elijah would guide the people how to repent and that Elijah would again "first come" and lead the people to return to the Torah of Moses as it was given at Mt. Siani.

Matthew 17: 10And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 11And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 12But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

So what is it that this end-time "Elijah" is supposed to restore the people to? The Resurrected Covenant (the Written Torah) of YHWH.

This event would immediately precede the end-time coming of the administrator of the resurrected Covenant, the Messiah Yeshua, the manifest Name of YHWH.  Blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord (YHWH).

Malachi 4: 3And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. 4Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

The end-time message is clear. We are to declare for the peoples of God to repent and return to the Resurrected Covenant, the Torah of Moses. Not the Oral Torah, not the Roman law, not a self-defined moral law. The scripture is unequivocal; we are to return to the Torah of Moses with statutes and judgments as it was given at Mt. Horeb.  This is the same mountain as Mt. Sinai.   Remember this scripture from Malachi is within the context of the end time "Day of the Lord". It is an end-time fulfillment.

Notice it does not direct us to repent and return to the traditions of men, the Oral Torah, Pagan traditions, or unscriptural church doctrine. It is very specific.

We are to return to the Torah of Moses, as it was when it was given in Mt. Horeb/Mt. Sinai to the entire nation of Israel with the statues and judgments! There is no room for doubt that this is referring to the Written Torah only called the Law of Moses by Malachi.

Now let's be clear. The Written Torah is the fore-shadow image of the end or fulfillment of the Torah, the Messiah, the Countenance of YHWH. Like Moses' veiled and glorified countenance, this Image of YHWH was covered from sight of the people by a veil which kept them from seeing the glorification or "end" or the "fulfillment" or the embodiment of the Countenance of the Name of the Lord (YHWH) who is the administrator of the resurrected Covenant (Torah) with better promises, grace and mercy.

This new administrator is the resurrected Messiah Yeshua, the manifest name of YHWH. Their understanding was darkened and they could not behold that glorified countenance due to the veil over their hearts.

The original Written Torah is only an image of the fullness of YHWH. It was dead and could not show the full image of God, which is life manifest. Only something that was moving and living could show forth the fullness of the Godhead bodily (resurrected life).

Hence the first Written Torah showed death, no movement, no life, covered by a veil of flesh.  There was no glorification of Moses countenance at the first engraving of the tablets. His countenance was only glorified with the proclamation of the manifest name of YHWH.

It is thereby, that we know that the Resurrected Covenant (the Torah of Life) is embodied, living, moving, and shows the full glory of God before the people and in their eyes. As the Administrator of the Resurrected Covenant died and rose again to life, so also does the Resurrected Covenant, the Written Torah of YHWH.

Both the administrator and the covenant show the image and fractal of a seed death and ascension to resurrected life.  Moses pictures the seed death in the wilderness.  Elijah, the one who leads the call to the return to the resurrected covenant, the Law of Moses, pictures the manifestation of the image of YHWH, the resurrected ascension of fruit and flesh.

That is why you see the transfiguration of Moses and Elijah with Yeshua.

Mark 9: 1And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. 2And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

3And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. 4And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. 5And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 6For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. 8And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. 9And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

10And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean. 11And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come? 12And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. 13But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Notice the connections:

  • Just like Moses at Mt. Horeb/Mt. Sinai they ascend the mountain.
  • Both Moses (an image of the original covenant-Torah that brought death) and Elijah (an image of the Resurrected Covenant-Torah) appear with the glorified Countenance of YHWH, the Messiah (the manifested Name of the Lord (YHWH).
  • The Utterance of YHWH manifests Himself and declares that they should make a tabernacle for His Son, the Messiah Yeshua, by "hearing" Him.
  • They are then told to not replicate the image by giving Testimony of the Work of the Countenance of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua, until after He has risen from the dead and completed the imagery of the Original Covenant of YHWH (Torah of Moses) of Death and the Resurrection of the Administrator of the Resurrected Covenant and the Resurrection of the Covenant (Torah of Moses) now to be written in our hearts.
  • This is why the question of why "Elijah must first come" occurs with the event of the transfiguration and the imagery of the resurrection of the Messiah and the Covenant of YHWH.
  • It is the joining of the imagery of the covenant that brings death through identification of sin (Moses) with the imagery of Elijah, which is associated with the imagery of the restoration of the stones for the altar of YHWH (1 Kings 18:31-33) and the proclamation for the people to return to the Torah of Moses as it was given at Mt. Horeb/Mt. Sinai.  Together these are a picture of death and resurrection and glorification of the Messiah, the Countenance of YHWH. Both Moses and Elijah appear with the Countenance of YHWH, who is the manifest presence of the Name of YHWH, Yeshua. It is after the utterance by the Father that Yeshua is declared  the administrator of the resurrected covenant.  Both Moses and Elijah disappear and only the glorified Messiah Yeshua remains with the believer.
  • So let's get to the point. All those involved in the covenant will bear the same imagery.
  • The administrator of the covenant is resurrected. Moses, Elijah, and Yeshua are all prophetic types of death and glorification.
  • The tablets (stones) are resurrected. The same utterances are transcribed from one stone to another by the administrator of the covenant, the manifest and declared name of YHWH.
  • The covenant is resurrected; The Written Torah is kept, lost, and restored.
  • The condemned participants are exiled, lost, and dead and then found, returned, and resurrected.
  • That which is written the first time brings death, it is not moving or alive. It is written on stone. That which is written the second time brings resurrected life, it is moving and alive. It is written in our hearts.
  • So let's be clear. Are Yeshua and the Torah the same thing? No, that which is written is an image of that which is alive, the Messiah, who is the end, the goal, the fulfillment, the fullness of the Godhead bodily.  He is literally our righteousness.  We cannot establish our own righteousness.

Will keeping the written Torah save you? No.

Romans 9: 9For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

This covenant, the Written Torah, under the administration of judgment brought condemnation and death to the flesh. We are all guilty under sin, which is the transgression of the law (Torah). We are not saved by keeping the Torah; we are saved by the new administration of grace and its resurrected Administrator, the Countenance of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.
Romans 8: 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

The Covenant (the Torah) brought death and judgment, but now the Resurrected Covenant and its resurrected Administrator, the Name of YHWH, the Messiah, is administered with grace and mercy which brings resurrected life via His righteousness.

Ephesians 2: 1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

11Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Notice what the exiles and uncircumcised were without that made them strangers to the commonwealth of Israel.  The Messiah Yeshua.  It was not the lack of the Torah that made them strangers.  It was the lack of the resurrected administrator of the resurrected covenant that made them strangers.  Anyone can be identified with the commonwealth of Israel are able to be identified as such, if they have the resurrected administrator, the Messiah Yeshua.  Notice He did not say it was the lack of the Torah that kept them from being identified as a part of the commonwealth of Israel.

Why is that?  Even Judah who had the written Torah and were trying to establish their own righteousness thereby and were not apart of the commonwealth of Israel because they were still under the tablets associated with death and judgment.  They were near, but they were not in.  They needed to identify with and accept the administrator of the resurrected covenant, the resurrected Messiah Yeshua, in order to be in the commonwealth of Israel.

Again, we are not grafted into Judah or Israel.  The commonwealth of Israel is identified by the presence of the manifest name of YHWH, the administrator of the covenant, the resurrected Messiah Yeshua.  It is His work that abolishes the Law of Death, the first set of tablets, which identify sin and cause judgment and death via the flesh.  And through the Messiah’s  flesh He resurrects the tablets, the same utterances, the Torah, the covenant, this time with grace, mercy, and resurrected life which is Spirit and places it within our hearts.  The conflict between the Torah and our hearts is now gone.

It is this state that causes God to separate Himself from His people.  This is the middle wall of partition that is caused by the violation of the terms of the covenant.  Notice Paul is talking about how we without the Messiah Yeshua are in exile from God and are separated from God.   This middle wall of partition is not talking about the separation between Judah and the Northern 10 tribes of Israel.

Notice the gospel of the Messiah is preached to both those that are far off and to those that are near.  Both are separated from God and need the middle wall of partition, which separates us from God, to be brought down.  This is the work of the manifest name of YHWH.  The wall went up between us and God because of our sin and violation of the covenant.  When the wall of separation goes up we are without God in the world, Jews and gentiles.

The two, God and man, are made one in Yeshua’s resurrected flesh and image because he is administrating the resurrected covenant based upon grace and mercy, the covenants of promise.  Remember the God’s goal is to be glorified in the eyes and the presence of His people.  We can only behold His image and countenance through the divine union of the glorified and resurrected countenance; the literal end and fulfillment, or embodiment of the manifest name of YHWH.  His image and countenance is transcribed onto ours.

Yeshua slays the enmity of the "two" and makes them "one" with a resurrected heart. It is the enmity and separation between God and man that is abolished, which is caused by our transgression of the Covenant of YHWH, the Torah.

Ephesians 4:  23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Yeshua the Messiah has made it possible for us to put on the image of the new man which is “after” the pattern and image of God.  Righteous, Holy, and without sin.  There is no transgression and therefore no enmity between us and God.  We become temples that God can dwell with in.  There is no separation and we then have the embodiment of God in the world.  Through Yeshua’s work, God is made manifest in the world and His name is declared to all nations.

Colossians 3: 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

For those who think that these scriptures are only talking about the re-unification of Israel are sadly mistaken.  The goal above is clear.  They are not only to be reconciled with one another.  The final goal is to be reconciled to God.  The scripture is clear.

Ephesians 2: 16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

What is the goal?

“…Reconcile BOTH unto God...”  It is not the near and far.  Both need reconciliation to God.

How is the accomplished?

“…in one body by the cross...”  This is not Israel’s or Judah’s body, this is the body of the manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.

Who’s enmity is slain?
God in one body” Our spirit is in conflict with God’s spirit.  The conflict between our hearts and the Torah is done away via the Spirit of the Messiah.  Notice Ephesians 2 is talking about the conflicting spirits that operate in the heart and mind of man separated from God.
Ephesians 2: 1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

This spirit cannot keep the Torah and is therefore subject to condemnation, enmity, and death as a result.  It must die and be replaced with the Spirit of the Messiah so that this separation and enmity from God can end and man can have God in the world.

The enmity is brought about because we violate the Torah and are then subject to death. That being the case, we must die and be buried with Yeshua and the breaking of the original tablets so that we might be resurrected with Him and the Resurrected Covenant, which is no longer subject to the flesh, but to the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit), which we receive through the Messiah Yeshua. The Torah is no longer written on stone, but on fleshly tablets. The focus is no longer on uncircumcised flesh, but on resurrected spirit, which is a picture of removing the flesh and being circumcised.

We then have access to that Spirit of Messiah that gives us access to God. The image of the Messiah is then passed onto His people and Immanuel, which means “God with us”, becomes a manifest reality.

So what does this mean in the end-times?  Embrace the administrator of the resurrected covenant, the image of God, the Messiah Yeshua for your salvation thereby obtaining grace and mercy.  Follow the leading of the Spirit of the Messiah and return to the Law of Moses as it was given at Mt. Horeb with the statutes and ordinances.

The prophet Ezekiel sums this up perfectly in an end-time prophecy.

Ezekiel 11: 18And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. 19And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Does this mean you can just do what your heart says to do because you are a good person?  Can you define your own moral law?  Does this mean the Torah and the Law of Moses is done away? Ezekiel is clear we are to follow God’s statutes and His ordinances, not ours.  The Torah/the Law of Moses is resurrected!  This is the way we are commanded to walk.

Romans 3: 19Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

29Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

What identifies sin?
The Law, the Torah, the Covenant

What makes us righteous?
The righteousness of God by faith of Yeshua the Messiah, the administrator of the resurrected covenant.

Being in violation of the Torah/Covenant how are we reconciled to God?
By His grace through the redemption that is in Yeshua the Messiah, through faith in His blood.

Does our righteousness or faithful observance of the Torah save us?
No.   God’s righteousness saves us through belief on the administrator of the resurrected covenant, the resurrected and manifest name of YHWH, the Messiah Yeshua.

Are there two ways of reconciliation with God, one for those who keep the Torah and one for those who do not?  No. There is only one way, the Law of Faith-the resurrected Covenant.

Does this Law of Faith nullify our keeping the Torah?
No.  We establish the Torah and the Covenant for both those that are near and far.

This law that is established is the Resurrected Covenant (Torah), the one based on better promises, placed in a better location (our hearts), and administered by the Countenance of YHWH, the Resurrected Messiah. This is the same promise of faith that delivered Abraham.

Romans 4: 20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
So we know the following:

  • We are not saved by keeping the Torah.
  • We are saved by faith in God (YHWH) and His Countenance (the Messiah), the administrator of the Resurrected Covenant.
  • The Torah brings death and judgment through condemnation of sin.
  • The Resurrected Covenant (the Torah) brings life though grace and faith in the work of the redeemer, the administrator of the resurrected covenant.
  • The Torah brought judgment on the flesh, and the Resurrected Covenant (the Torah) brings life to the spirit.
  • We are to return to the Resurrected Covenant, the Torah of Moses, administered by Yeshua the Messiah under grace and mercy.
  • We are to have faith in the administrator of the Resurrected Covenant to write the Resurrected Covenant on our hearts.
    • Phillipians 1: 6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  • Moses and Elijah are prophetic types of the Countenance of YHWH, the Messiah. Moses (picturing first cutting of the covenant-Torah (Law of Moses-associated with judgment and death), and Elijah (prophetic of the cutting of the Resurrected Covenant though Yeshua-which is associated with ascended life).

Lets examine the prophetic patterns and images that we find in the lives of Moses, Elijah, and Yeshua.  They will provide insight into the nature of the universe and the means of redemption for all creation.

Prophetic Pattern:
Stones
Moses:
Breaking and Making of the two sets of tablets of stone
Elijah:
Restoring the altar stones of YHWH and teaching the way of return from false worship.
Yeshua:
The Messiah is the manifest presence of the Countenance of YHWH, in death and life. The Cornerstone rejected and made chief cornerstone.

Prophetic Pattern:
Ascending & Descending
Moses:
Ascending and Descending the Mountain and entering the cloud on the Mount
Elijah:
We see Elijah ascending into the Shekinah
Yeshua:
The Countenance of YHWH, the manifest presence of the Glory of YHWH is the administrator of the Resurrected Covenant, the Messiah

Prophetic Pattern:
Breaking Stones
Moses:
Breaking the tablets carved from the top of the mountain, which is a picture of death.
Elijah:
Judging the profane (false worship) and declaring the need to repent and return to the Torah of Moses, the Covenant.  The people need to ascend with Elijah by uniting the stones in the Altar.  Which is a picture of ascension and resurrection life.
Yeshua:
The death and rejection of the Messiah.  Just as the tablets are broken and buried under the mountain, so also is the Messiah, by taking on the transgressions of the covenant. “He is broken for our iniquities”.  Paying this penalty provides the grace for the repentant to ascend with the resurrected administrator of the resurrected covenant.

Prophetic Pattern:
Restoring Stones
Moses:
Moses is carving the new set of tablets down in the valley and causing them to ascend to the top of the mountain for inscription by the manifest name of YHWH.

Elijah:
Elijah is gathering the stones of the altar and restoring the Torah of Moses to the profane (exiles)
Yeshua:
The Resurrected Administrator and the Resurrected Covenant (Torah) is written in the hearts of those who have faith in the Messiah. It is an administration of the Spirit.

Prophetic Pattern:
Glorification & the Countenance
Moses:
Glorification and covering of the countenance of Moses
Elijah:
Ascension of Elijah into the Shekinah
Yeshua:
Resurrection of the Messiah, the Countenance of YHWH who then ascends into the Shekinah (the cloud).

Prophetic Pattern:
Covering Garment
Moses:
The Veil that covers Moses glorified Countenance and it's donning and removal
Elijah:
The passing of the mantle of Elijah to Elisha.  Elijah’s image (countenance wrapped in his mantle) is passed onto one who will double his miracles.
Yeshua:
The believer’s participation in the death of Yeshua's flesh and blood and His resurrection with a glorified body. This is the passing on of the image of God, the Countenance of God onto the ascended manifestation (the second generation).

Prophetic Pattern:
Scattering of the People
Moses:
All of the people are afraid of the glorified countenance of Moses and move afar off
Elijah:
Elijah working to gather those who are "afar off" from God, those who are profane and without God in the world.  Those who have a spirit of disobedience.
Yeshua:
The work of the Messiah is to save the nation and those scattered abroad from perishing.

John 11: 49And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, 50Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. 51And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; 52And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Prophetic Pattern:
Return & Repentance of the People
Moses:
The people return near to Moses once he speaks to them after descending from the Mountain.

Exodus 34: 29And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. 30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
Elijah:
Elijah goes to the same mountain until the voice of YHWH speaks to him in the "still small voice".

1 Kings 19: 11And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 13And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
Yeshua:
John 1: 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Prophetic Pattern:
First rock equals striking and death (seed), the second rock equals voice transcription of the image of God onto the believer (manifest fruit)
Moses:
Key issue is the continual rebellion and judgment of Israel under the Covenant (Torah)
With the first striking of the Rock and the Angel of YHWH (death) the key issue is: Exodus 17: 7And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
The first rock that is struck is prophetic of the Messiah. (Descend)
Elijah:
Key issue is transmitting of the Countenance of YHWH to the Rock of our hearts (2nd Generation) and the key question is why are they in a place of "no seed". (Numbers 20) The second striking of the rock was done incorrectly and should have been done via the utterance of the administrator of the Covenant. This is the transmission of life (seed/image/life) from the utterance (the Word of YHWH) to those who have no (seed) life in themselves.
The second rock that is struck is prophetic of us, which dies, then comes to life via Utterance of God. We were intended to live, but then descended and were struck with death until we received the transcribed image of YHWH via the Utterance of YHWH which made us alive again (resurrected). (Ascend)
Yeshua:
Yeshua the Messiah fulfills both events of the striking of the rock in the first generation (death) and the transcribing of the image of YHWH (life) to the second rock via the utterance of the intercessor at God's command (resurrected administrator of the Resurrected Covenant (Torah) and the resurrected and lively stone that brings forth the waters of life via the transcribed countenance of YHWH.
Remember burial of the dead seed brings forth a replicated image (flesh/life). We have no seed in ourselves that is why we must have the seed of the Kingdom of YHWH.

Mark 4: 25For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. 26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

1 Corinthians 15: 42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Return & Repentance of the People

The people return near to Moses once he speaks to them after descending from the Mountain, Exodus 34: 29And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. 30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

Elijah goes to the same mountain until the voice of YHWH speaks to him in the "still small voice" 1 Kings 19: 11And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD.

Often Jews will reject the Messiah Yeshua for one reason. They claim that He did not re-gather the exiles and restore the Kingdom of Israel. For that reason they call Him a failed prophet .

We must remember that Moses is a prophetic type of the Messiah.

If we carry over that same logic that Rabbinic Judaism has applied to Yeshua we must then also disqualify Moses.

Moses would then qualify as a failed prophet and deliverer since he died in the wilderness and was not able to deliver the exiles of Israel in the wilderness up to the Land of Israel. It took another to do so.

It was Joshua, someone who followed the image of Moses, that delivered the people up to the Land of Promise. Though Moses administered the cutting of the first covenant (Torah) he did not deliver the people from Exile.

So in accordance with the prophetic image presented by Moses, Yeshua died in the wilderness of the manifest universe.  And following the prophetic pattern of accession as presented by Elijah, Yeshua was then resurrected so that He could cut the Resurrected Covenant (Torah) in our hearts.

He literally dwells within believers via the Ruach Hakodesh, the Holy Spirit. It is this spirit that reconciles both into one as Ephesians 2 has already shown us.  It is through the Messiah Yeshua’s death and resurrection that the middle wall partition between us and God has been torn down.  It is the Messiah Yeshua’s spirit that intercedes between our spirit and God, making us living stones and living temples of the presence of God.

Yeshua is the one that both Judah and the scattered ones are grafted into.  We are not grafted into Israel.  We are not grafted into Judah.  Judah, Israel, and all scattered ones need reconciliation to God through the work of the manifest name of YHWH, Yeshua the Messiah, the word of God.  The two that are made one are “us” and “God”.  This is the restoration of the image of God.  This is the work of the Messiah.  This is the redemption of man.  This is Immanuel, God with man.  This is the resurrection of the dead.

Ephesians 2: 1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

It is the enmity between us and God due to our transgression of the covenant that is done away through the work of the Messiah.

Ephesians 2: 16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

It is through the Law of Faith, the Resurrected Covenant; the Law of Moses remembered and administered with the utterance and manifestation of the name of YHWH, Yeshua the Messiah, in grace.

This process of redemption from exile in the wilderness took more than one generation. So if the prophetic type holds true, it is the one who is made in the image of Moses, Joshua, who delivers the people up to the Land of Israel.

So also it is the joint work of the end-time "Elijah" to restore the people of God via the Resurrected Covenant, the Torah. Remember, the prophetic pattern is always the same, "seed then flesh".

If we conform to the image of YHWH, the Messiah, the Countenance of God, we will walk as He walked.  Yeshua the Messiah, the manifest name of YHWH administers the Law of Moses as it was given at Mt. Sinai/Horeb with the statues and ordinances.  As Malachi 4 instructs, this is a prophecy for the Day of the Lord.

Revelation 12: And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments (Torah) of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

So follow the Resurrected Administrator of the Resurrected Covenant and the image will repeat itself in you. You will be resurrected!

So what has changed as it relates to the Resurrected Covenant with YHWH (the Torah)?

  • The administration of death is gone and replaced with an administration of resurrection life.
  • The administrator of judgment and death is gone and replaced with an administrator of resurrection life, Yeshua the Messiah, the manifest Name of the Lord (YHWH).
  • The location of the utterances written by YHWH is no longer on external rock, but on fleshly hearts which are brought forward in faith in YHWH and His administrator/mediator/intercessor, Yeshua the Messiah (the Name of YHWH manifest).
  • The administration of judgment and condemnation is gone and replaced with an administration of grace and abundant mercy.
  • The mediator of this better covenant with better promises is the manifestation of the Name of YHWH, the Countenance of YHWH, the resurrected Messiah Yeshua.

So what has NOT changed as it relates to the Resurrected Covenant with YHWH (the Torah)?

  • The utterances are the same, first covenant or resurrected covenant.
  • The writer of the utterances is the same, it is YHWH.
  • It is the same people that are engaged in the covenant, whether they be near or far (exiled), home born or sojourner.
  • It is the same choice to enter into the covenant. It is available to all peoples everywhere, no matter who they are descended from.
    • Exodus 12:38And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle...
    • Romans 10: 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?...
    • Exodus 12: 48And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. 49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. 50Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.)

So if we follow the image of YHWH, the patterns of redemption are clear!

There is a Resurrected Administrator/Mediator of a Resurrected Covenant (the written Torah of Moses) for a Resurrected and Redeemed People. God and man are made one.

The patterns and images of resurrection are set forth clearly in the scriptures:

  • Seed then flesh
  • death then life
  • striking then utterance

As scripture has proven, the very same covenant and the very same words that were on the first set of tablets are written on the new set of tablets. The only change was the location, stone versus our hearts and the administrator (the Messiah), the Name of the Lord, Yeshua Adonai YHWH.

The first covenant was under the administration of condemnation and judgment (death), the second set of tablets is under righteousness and mercy (Resurrected Life), the Messiah Yeshua (the Name of YHWH made manifest before the people).

The Messiah is resurrected.
The People are resurrected.
The Covenant is resurrected.
The pattern and image repeats itself showing the Glory of YHWH.

Here is a Simple Guide to Know if You are Still Under Condemnation:

Faiths examined: Christian, Rabbinic Judaism-Orthodox, Messianic Jew, Two-House Messianic

Do you Keep the Written Torah, the Law of Moses?
Yes, that is required no matter who you are, Jew or gentile.  The saved spirit that is in reconciliation with God’s spirit through Yeshua the Messiah’s redemptive work need to remember the Law of Moses as Malachi 4 prophesied.

Malachi 4: 4Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.  5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:  6And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Do you require the Oral Torah observance for redemption?
No matter if you hold all other aspects of belief correctly, then you are still under judgment and condemnation.  The scriptures are replete with Yeshua, Paul, and the apostles rejecting all forms of traditions of men, be they rabbinic, pagan, Christian, or otherwise, as a requirement for salvation. Furthermore those Messianic Jews and Two-House that teach you must keep the Oral Law are in conflict with Yeshua and His teachings.

Matthew 15:9, But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Holds Faith in the Manifest "Name of the Lord" YHWH?
Yes that is required no matter what group you are from.  Rabbinic Judaism and many Messianic Jewish and Two-House assemblies clearly violate this requirement.

Matthew 23: 37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Acts 2: 20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: 21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Moses' example is clear at the cutting of the second set of tablets with the manifestation of the name of YHWH declared as the administrator of the resurrected covenant, Moses immediately bowed and worshiped the manifest name of YHWH.

Exodus 34:  4And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.  5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,  7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Yeshua is not the Torah. Yeshua is the manifest name of YHWH, who is the administrator of the resurrected Torah, the Law of Moses. The written Torah is only a shadow image of the end/reality/fulfillment/embodiment/manifestation of the name of YHWH.

Requires the believer to reject the Manifest "Name of the Lord" YHWH?
Rabbinic Jews require the convert to verbally reject the Messiah Yeshua before a Beit Din and keep the Traditions of Men for salvation.  Also those Messianic Jews that have not recognized Yeshua the Messiah as being the Manifest "Name of the Lord" YHWH have not accepted the new administrator of the new administration. He is the administrator of the Resurrected Torah, the Written Law of Moses as given at Mt. Sinai.

Furthermore those Messianic Jews and Two-House that teach you must keep the Oral Law are in conflict with Yeshua and His teachings.

Matthew 15:9,But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Requires the believer to reject the Resurrected Torah (Law of Moses as given at Mt. Sinai):
Not all Rabbinic Jews, Messianic Jews, and Two-House believe in the resurrected Torah.  In many cases Rabbinic Jews teach that the written Torah of Moses is only for Judah and exiles are only allowed to keep a very small portion of the written Torah, called the Noahide Laws.  This is in direct conflict with the teachings of the Torah. There is one Torah for the home-born and the sojourner.

Exodus 12: 48And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.  49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.  50Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

Modern Christianity requires that you reject the keeping of the written Torah.  This is in direct conflict with the gospel of Yeshua the Messiah.  Currently all sects are not aware of the resurrected Torah and have made up their own "moral law".

Matthew 5: and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Recognizes the Messiah as the Image of YHWH, the Presence of the Godhead bodily?
Rabbinic Judaism and many Messianic assemblies reject all manifestation of God.  Those Rabbinic and Messianic Jews that have not recognized Yeshua the Messiah as being the Manifest "Name of the Lord" YHWH have not accepted the new administrator of the resurrected covenant.

Christianity does acknowledge Yeshua being the manifestation of the name of YHWH, but have mistakenly tried to divide God into two or three entities.  The shema and the scriptures are clear.  There is only one God, one spirit, one name.

Yeshua is the manifestation of the one God, one spirit, and one name on earth.  He is the administrator of the Resurrected Torah, the Written Law of Moses as given at Mt. Sinai.   They must accept the Resurrected Torah, the Written Law of Moses as given at Mt. Sinai, and by doing so they will come out of Lawlessness (iniquity) and be reconciled to God.

2 Thessalonians 2: 7, 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

This mystery of iniquity is believing on Yeshua through grace and living Torahlessly, Lawlessly, being full of iniquity.

Matthew 7: 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

May it be fulfilled in our day.  Remember these things about Yeshua’s role as the administrator of the resurrected covenant and His being the manifest Name of YHWH.

5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

and...

Matthew 23: 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Blessed be the Name of the Messiah, the Manifest Presence of YHWH! This is how God glorified His name in the eyes and the presence of the people.  Not just before them, but in them.

John 12: 27Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. 28Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 29The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

The work of the Messiah is to reunite the two that are divided, God and man. Immanuel.

Exodus 34: 5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 8And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

We see this wonderful fulfillment in Luke.

Luke 2: 9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Return, Return, Return! Shalom in the name of the Messiah Yeshua Adonai YHWH.
