Restoring YHWH's image in Man's Flesh

Key Points:
  • Adam and Eve were made in YHWH’s image, but when they fell they no longer produced seed in YHWH’s image, but in their own fallen image
  • To take of the Tree of Life in corrupted flesh leads to a terrible fate, first our flesh must be restored
  • Flesh of bulls and goats are not able to redeem us because their flesh is not the bread of heaven, only Yeshua’s flesh can do so
  • The veil of the temple is symbolic of Yeshua’s flesh, which was torn for us
  • Literally taking on Yeshua’s flesh is symbolized by the Mikva/Baptism
  • YHWH was glorified in the sight of all the people by coming in the uncorrupted flesh, Yeshua
  • Israel was blind to the coming of YHWH in uncorrupted flesh, Yeshua
  • YHWH is restoring His image in us so He can come into relationship with us
  • YHWH is circumcising our hearts and placing His torah within us
  • The 10 commandments are really 10 expressions of the Image of YHWH
  • Our bodies are the temple of YHWH and we are to remain clean
  • Yeshua is the express image of YHWH and If you have seen Yeshua, you have seen the Father
  • Yeshua is the last Adam, a quickening spirit and We are predestined to conform to the image of YHWH’s son, Yeshua
  • We glorify YHWH through our lives in Yeshua
  • When we pray, we pray in Yeshua’s name
  • Yeshua came out from YHWH

Genesis 1:26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

How important is it to YHWH that we be in His image?  It means everything.  Without it there is no relationship.  The Torah and the Brit Chadasha (New Testament) starts and ends with the importance of the Image of YHWH in man.  A core issue at the end will be which image we conform to, His or that of the Beast.  Paul talks about the importance of what image we conform to and the necessity of not changing the glory of the incorruptible YHWH into an image made like to fallen man and beasts.

Romans 1:  22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Eve took of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge, for the purpose of opening of the eyes to see, and to become as gods.  But little did Eve know what the serpent was really tempting her with.

Genesis 2:17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 3:5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

YHWH was clear in His instruction to Adam and Eve that in the day that they eat thereof, they would die.  Why would they die and need to be separated from the source of life, YHWH? What kind of God would curse man in this way?  Or was it something else?  Did YHWH realize the terrible fate awaited man now that his flesh had fallen and if he then took of the Fruit of the Tree of Life, would forever enslave man in this corrupted fallen flesh?

Genesis 3: 22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:  23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

YHWH needed to provide a way for fallen man to get back to the Tree of Life, but without fallen flesh.  What flesh could do it?  Surely not animal flesh.

Hebrews 10: 3But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.  4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.  5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Clearly the book of Hebrews is showing us that animal flesh cannot redeem us.  It can point us to the true redeemer, Yeshua, but by itself cannot provide the needed value for the redemptive equation.  Verse 4 clearly explains what flesh could provide the value for the redemptive equation, Yeshua's body and flesh.

Hebrews 10:10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.  11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:  12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

We are sanctified though Yeshua's body.  YHWH is being so detailed and specific, but we have glossed over the clarity of the truth for 2,000 years.  Bulls and goats cannot cover our sin.  The sin is in our flesh, it is corrupted and subject to death.  Only Yeshua's body can cover our sins.  He has provided the way back into the Holy of Holies and fellowship with YHWH.  Why is it so important that our sins be “covered”? Adam and Eve were covered with flesh after they sinned.  The marks of sin and its penalties were born in their flesh and their seed.  They needed a way back to incorruptible flesh.

Hebrews 10:20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;  21And having an high priest over the house of God;  22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

He is the way, the truth, and the life.  There is no other way back to YHWH.  Why?  We must have His flesh, His body, His blood.  The veil that was His flesh was rent and torn so that we may enter.

Luke 23:44And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.  45And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.  46And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

II Corinthians 3: 12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:  13And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:  14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.  15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.  16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.  17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Here we see Moses needing to cover the glory he receives from being in the presence of YHWH with a veil so that others may look upon Him.  Clearly this is a sampling of what an uncorrupted body would be like, full of glory, powerful.  Verse 16 is plainly saying that when it comes to Yeshua, the vail will be taken away and we can openly view the glory of YHWH.  Corrupted flesh is replaced with uncorruptible, earthy with heavenly, death with life.  The veil of the heart is circumcised, along with the veil of the mind, which results in our being able to see and discern spiritual things.  This new and living way is through Yeshua's uncorrupted flesh.

Hebrews 10:19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,  20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;  21And having an high priest over the house of God;

There is no way we can approach YHWH without Yeshua's flesh and body.

John 14: 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?  6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

What is this image that is being restored through Yeshua's flesh? We can't approach without His image, without His body, and without his blood.  II Corinthians 3 talked about the need to have this veil of the heart and mind circumcised.

Deuteronomy 30:5 He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. 6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live. 7 The LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you.

Here after Israel's sin of worshiping a graven image, the golden calf, YHWH talks about destroying Israel and starting anew with Moses.  After Moses' intercession, YHWH writes His covenant again and promises to place it in their hearts.

Deuteronomy 30: 10If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

This required the circumcision of the hearts for the accomplishment of this promise.  His Torah would be placed in our hearts.

Hebrews 8: 7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.  8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:  9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.  10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

The problem was not with the Torah, the covenant, the problem was with our hearts.  So let's flash back to the giving of the 10 commandments.  As Moses is receiving personal instruction on behalf of the People of Israel, the people at the foot of the mountain begin to worship a graven or false image.  Is this coincidence?  What is the import of man worshiping a false or graven image?  Keep reading to answer these questions.

Joel 2: 12Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:  13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.  14Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?

Just as our hearts should be circumcised, the Temple veil was rent, as was Yeshua’s flesh.  Our hearts need return to the covenant and to the Torah of YHWH.  By doing this we can regain YHWH’s image in our lives.  Let's look at the 10 commandments.   I include the full chapter as we need to see the context of what YHWH is communicating to Israel.  Are these commandments or something more?  I would suggest to you that these are expressions of the Image of YHWH.

He is working to restore His image in man.  When man was in the Garden of Eden before he fell, Adam and Eve could hear the voice of YHWH and communicate with Him.  Man's flesh had fallen so far that He could no longer bear to hear the voice of YHWH (Exodus 20:19).  YHWH's effort to redeem Israel out of Egypt was for the purpose of revealing Himself to these people and restoring His image to them so that He could dwell with them.  So these are not commands we fulfill without thought, these are expressions of who YHWH is and what we need to be like in order to come into fellowship with Him.  This makes it possible for YHWH to dwell with us.  The whole chapter is dealing with YHWH’s image and throwing down false images and the fruits of false images.

Exodus 20:1And God spake all these words, saying,  2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.  3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.  7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.  8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.  9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:  10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:  11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.  12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.   13Thou shalt not kill.  14Thou shalt not commit adultery.  15Thou shalt not steal.  16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.   17Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.   18And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.  19And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.  20And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.  21And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.  22And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.  23Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.  24An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.  25And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.  26Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Exodus 20 is the Restoration of the Image of YHWH in fallen man.  When Adam and Eve broke covenant with YHWH and made covenant with the Serpent in the Garden, they broke the Image of YHWH in them.  They realized they were naked and needed to be covered.

Because they broke the image of YHWH in their flesh, it became corrupted, fallen, sinful, and subject to death.  No longer could they bear fruit in YHWH's image or like His seed.

Genesis 5: 1This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;  2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.  3And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

Fallen man, Adam and Eve now bore children in their own fallen image and likeness, no longer able to bear the seed of YHWH.  A great gulf now separated man from His maker.  How could it be repaired?  Man needed to be born again with incorruptible flesh with the Image of YHWH restored.  YHWH needed to come in uncorrupted flesh and be glorified before all the people and provide a way for us to be made clean.  He became our Mikva/baptism into His Body and incorruptible flesh.  It is the way to restoration, the way to redemption, the way of life, the way back to the Garden and fellowship with YHWH.  The two Trees are two seeds, that when consumed combine with our flesh.  To take of the Tree of Life is to be in covenant with YHWH and taking on His flesh and His seed, and His life.  To take of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is to covenant with Satan, to take on corrupted flesh, his seed, and his death.  Notice that it was not only the nature of our flesh that was changed and cursed, but also the serpent's.  This theme of two seeds continues down to Cain and Abel and the two types of sacrifices that they made, one that was acceptable to YHWH and one that was not.  Abel's sacrifice was of clean animal flesh and it was found acceptable to YHWH.  Cain's offering was of the fruit of the field and it was not acceptable to YHWH.  Why?  YHWH is not careless in His judgments.  It is because of what the sacrifice pictures and the restoration that has to be done to our flesh.  Any imitation is just that, an imitation and it will not fix the problem of the curse of our flesh.

Genesis 4:3And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.  4And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:  5But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.  6And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?  7If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

We cannot randomly select how we will be redeemed and restored to our original state, our original flesh, and our original relationship with YHWH.  We must explicitly follow the instruction of YHWH or our end will be the same as Aaron's sons when we approach the throne of YHWH.

Leviticus 10: 1And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.  2And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.  3Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

YHWH is explicitly clear in that Nadab and Abihu did something that YHWH did not command them and this resulted in the rejection of their presence in the Holy of Holies.  In all the other instruction, the scripture repeatedly says, The lesson for us is clear, we cannot make up our way to return to YHWH.  We must do as He has instructed.  Nor can we mix part of what YHWH instructs with things we would like to do.  A clear example of this is when Moses went to the Mountain to receive the instruction of YHWH, and the people choose to worship an image in a way that is not in obedience to what YHWH instructs.

Exodus 32: 30And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin. 31And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. 32Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. 33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. 34Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them. 35And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

In contrast, when Israel follows YHWH’s instructions exactly in all the work that they do in preparation for correct worship, they are blessed.

Exodus 39: 42According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.  43And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

Christianity has randomly syncretized with the pagan religions, adhering somewhat to Torah and somewhat to Pagan practices.  We must come out of those half-truths into the full light of YHWH's revealed word, the Torah.  Clinging to half truths has kept us from realizing the truth of our circumstance and our need for redemption.  Paul understood our situation, he pleaded to be released from "this body of death".  Paul exhorts us to remember that the purpose of the redemption of our bodies is to restore our relationship to YHWH.  All the preparations of the people, the priests, the tabernacle, the Mikva, and the sacrifices were so that YHWH could dwell with His people.

Romans 12: 1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

I Corinthians 6: 14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.  15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

Our bodies are to become members of Yeshua the Messiah.  If our flesh becomes a member or part of Yeshua's flesh via the Mikva (baptism) and partaking of His Heavenly sacrifice, His body and flesh, we cannot turn around and desecrate this tabernacle by joining His flesh, our redeemed flesh in fornication with a harlot.  This is absolutely forbidden by YHWH.  We cannot mix truth with lies, YHWH's truth with Pagan beliefs and conduct.  We must remain one flesh with Yeshua.

I Corinthians 6: 18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

We are no longer our own, we are our husband's, Yeshua, the last Adam.  The Bride of Yeshua is the last Eve.  We cannot adulterate our flesh or His by joining it with another in forbidden sexual relations.  The temple of YHWH must remain clean and uncorrupted.

I Corinthians 15: 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.  45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.  46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

That is why the sin of Balaam, improper sexual relations, is forbidden to Israel.  It causes our downfall.  It brings about the joining of our flesh with foreign gods and idols instead of the rectification of our fallen state.

Revelations 2: 14But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

The stumbling block of eating flesh sacrificed to idols (graven images) and committing fornication as a part of worship are all tied to the religious practice of becoming one flesh, through eating or sexual activity, with the divine.  YHWH clearly shows us how our flesh is to be redeemed.  If we attempt to redeem our fallen flesh through our own ideas or practices, the result is death.

Hebrews 1: 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:  4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Colossians 2: 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

We are to be conformed to the Image of YHWH's son.  By doing this we have life because we share in His flesh, His life, and are justified and glorified by Him.  We must be one with Him as He is one with the Father.

Romans 8: 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

YHWH was glorified before all the people in Yeshua and through our becoming one with Him.  We ought to act according to our calling.  What does it mean to pray in YESHUA's name?  Israel did not pray in the name of Aaron, the High Priest who enters the Holy of Holies.  The patriarchs repeatedly called on the name of the Lord, the one sitting on the Mercy Seat.  This should tell us something.

John 16:  25These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.  26At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:  27For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

This is why there is only way to salvation.  This is why we cannot syncretize beliefs between Torah and other religions.  This is why we cannot accept any other savior.

Acts 4:  11This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

That is why we cannot proclaim brotherhood with Islam as the Pope and the Catholics have done.  There is no other name under heaven whereby men can be saved because no one else has incorruptible flesh and blood.  To reject that name is to reject the very means of redemption.  Christians have taken the redemptive work of Yeshua too figuratively and have failed to accept Yeshua’s very own testimony that He is the only way have our flesh redeemed so that we might take part of the Tree of Life and live forever.

Matthew 10: 32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.  34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

If Yeshua denies us before the Father it means we are not one with His flesh and therefore means we will not be able to stand in the presence of YHWH without His covering flesh.

I John 4: 14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Our testimony must reflect Yeshua’s testimony.  That YHWH sent Yeshua to be the saviour of the World.  How does He save the world?  By YHWH dwelling in Yeshua and Yeshua in YHWH, whereby we dwell in Yeshua and Yeshua in us.  Adam fell and was separated from YHWH.  Yeshua came to literally redeem Adam’s seed so His seed can once again dwell with YHWH.  This is salvation.  If we forsake the name of that salvation, there is no other way, flesh, seed, by which man can be saved to live in the presence of YHWH.  Denial of the Savior can only be cured by having the love of Messiah.  Peter set the example.

Mark 14: 71But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. 72And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Just as Peter denied the name of His salvation three times, he had to remedy his chance for salvation through love.

John 21:14This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. 15So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

For each time Peter denied the name of his literal salvation, he had to rectify that denial through a declaration of love for Yeshua.  He did this three times after Yeshua was resurrected.  Each time that declaration of love was met with the expectation from the Messiah, “Feed my Sheep”.
