Deuteronomy 6: 3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.  4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:  5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

The Shema is prayed every day by Jews and it is foundational to their faith.  Many would consider it the cornerstone of their faith.  And they view any attempt to make YHWH into more than ONE as an abomination.  This understanding is what lead the Sanhedrin to judge Yeshua with blasphemy and declare that He should die.

Matthew 26: 62Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?" 63But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ,the Son of God."  64"Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."  65Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. 66What do you think?"   "He is worthy of death," they answered.

They are clearly asking if He is the Son, the flesh, the body of YHWH.  When He affirmed that fact and that they would see the Son of Man at the right Hand of YHWH, they knew His answer and declared Him a blasphemer.  The Pharisees and Sadducees did not believe that YHWH would appear in the flesh.  They believed that He is a spirit and would not sully His presence by touching physical matter.

What did they and we misunderstand?  They clearly understood that there is one YHWH and that there is none beside Him.  Christianity for the most part has gotten this woefully wrong, for most declare God as being two and sometimes three personages.  Yeshua gives a very clear opinion on the Oneness of YHWH and His own declaration that He is YHWH.  Paul reinforces His declaration.

Philippians 2: 5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Paul is clearly stating that YHWH took the "form" or "image" of a servant.  He was made “like” man, but He did not take on our corruptible and fallen flesh.  What they did not understand is that He came in His own uncorrupted flesh.  They understood that the Holy cannot mix with the unholy, the clean with the unclean, the incorruptible with the corruptible.  Apparently they believed He came in the flesh of Mary and possibly Joseph or of some other man.  He came in His own incorruptible flesh.  He is not separate from the Father.  He is the Father.

Isaiah 9: 6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

The Mighty YHWH, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace is the child born and the son that was given.  Yeshua explains in detail in John 17.  Let's not spiritualize away what He is telling us and take Him at His word.

John 17:1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:  2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.  3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.  4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.  5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.  6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.  7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.  8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.  9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.  10And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.  11And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.  12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.  13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.  14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.  17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.  18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.  20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.  24Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.  25O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.  26And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

John 14: 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.  8Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.  9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?  10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.  11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.  12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.  15If ye love me, keep my commandments.  16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.  18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.  19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.  20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.  21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

I John 1:1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;  2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)  3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

I John 4 is critical in teaching us how to identify false teaching and false prophets.  It is about us being in YHWH, Yeshua being the son and flesh of YHWH.  And that we live through Yeshua's flesh.  And thereby, YHWH lives in us. 

I John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.  5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.  6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.  12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.  13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.  14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.  15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.  16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  19We love him, because he first loved us.  20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?  21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

We need to stop diminishing the implications and reality of what it means to be someone's son and the mutual residence that we have with YHWH through Yeshua's uncorruptible flesh and our partaking of his sacrifice.  Remember that the word for sacrifice is Corban and it means to "draw near".  This nearness happens because we are one flesh with our husband, Yeshua, via His sin offering and being Mikva'd (baptized) into His body, into His flesh, who is one flesh with YHWH.

We should also remember that great statement of belief by Thomas.  Too long he has been commented about having a lack of faith.  On the contrary I believe he is given the privilege of one of the final statements in the gospels because of his amazing insight and statement of belief.   Keep in mind he was not there when Yeshua appeared to the apostles the first time and breathed on them the Holy Spirit. 

John 20: 24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!"       But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."  26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."  28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"  29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."  30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may[a] believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Having touched the incorruptible flesh and bone of Yeshua, a Torah observant Jew who on a daily basis prayed the Shema, "The Lord or YHWH, the Lord is ONE", declares a statement of worship, ""My Lord and my YHWH".  He declares Yeshua YHWH in the uncorrupted flesh.  Yeshua does not rebuke him as He did Peter, when Peter wanted to prevent the sacrifice of His flesh for their redemption. 

Yeshua rightfully stated, "get behind me Satan".  For that is Satan’s goal, to prevent the redemption of our flesh and to keep us in the bondage and the continuation of our corrupted state.  Thomas worships Him and Yeshua blesses him for it and then blesses those who believe and never had the chance to physically touch his resurrected flesh and bone.  It is by this belief, that Yeshua is the flesh of YHWH, that we have life.  We are to only worship YHWH.

Matthew 2: 7Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.  8And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.  9When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

Yeshua by His own words indicates we are only to worship YHWH.

Matthew 4: 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.  10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.  11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Matthew 8: 1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.  2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

There is no mistaken connection between Yeshua being worshiped and dead flesh receiving life.

Matthew 14:32And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.  33Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.  34And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

Luke 24: 51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.  52And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:  53And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Yeshua doesn't forbid them from worshiping Him because He is YHWH in the uncorrupted flesh.  Notice the book of Revelation and how those who are deceived worship the dragon which gives power to the beast and they do not worship YHWH.

Revelations 13: 3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.  4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?  5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

We even see John mistakenly worshiping someone he thought was YHWH, but didn't realize the difference because they had uncorrupted flesh.

Revelations 19:9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.  10And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.  11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

The fellow servant corrects John and tells him not to do so and explains that he is John's fellowservant and of John's brethren that have the Testimony of Yeshua, and tells him to worship YHWH.  So what can we conclude?  Yeshua is YHWH in the uncorrupted flesh.  We don't worship the High Priest, we worship YHWH.
