Who is the Lord of the Sabbath in Eden?

Key Points:
  • YHWH prepared a body/uncorrupted flesh before the foundation of the world to take away sins
  • Yeshua is the Lord of the Sabbath, the Lord God, in Eden
  • Adam and Eve’s flesh was formed of the ground by the Lord God on Shabbat
  • Yeshua healed on Shabbat
  • The Jews thought Yeshua was sinning by healing on Shabbat
  • “The Shabbat was made for man, not man for the Shabbat”
  • When Adam & Eve sinned, their seed and flesh was changed, it became corruptible
  • In Moses’ time, the Leaders of Israel saw Yeshua and ate and drank with Him
  • No man in corruptible flesh can see YHWH’s face in His glory and live
  • Moses saw the goodness of YHWH and the name of YHWH declared before him
  • Yeshua, the Lord of the Sabbath, finishes YHWH’s work
  • All things were created by and for Yeshua
  • Yeshua is the image of the invisible YHWH
  • All the fulness of the YHWH dwells in Yeshua
  • Yeshua is the Alpha and the Omega, the Aleph and the Tav

Why did YHWH prepare a body from the foundation of the world?Perhaps we have been misreading these enlightening scriptures for millennia. The answer has consequence of such magnitude many won't consider it. Perhaps that is why the Sanhedrin crucified Yehsua for blasphemy.Under the best assumptions, they failed to reconsider cherished beliefs hopefully with the intent of honoring YHWH.  Let's look at the critical scriptures again.

Hebrews 10:4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

1 Peter 1:19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Why are there two accounts for the creation of man?Perhaps the answer is in the above two scriptures.

1 Corinthians 15:44-46 ,44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

Genesis 2:4,
This is the first appearance of the term Lord.Always before the term God is used.Is the “Lord God”, the same one identified in Genesis 1:26?Is this the one identified in Hebrews and Peter above?

Genesis:2:7-23,Forming of Adam/Eve
Apparently on the Seventh Day YHWH (God) ends His work and rests, now enters the first usage of the term "Lord God".Is this the Lord of the Sabbath? Yeshua?

Matthew 10:7But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

Mark 2:27And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Luke 6:4How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.6And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

Luke 13:14And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

What are the circumstances at the time of Adam’s formation in Genesis 2?

  • No man to till the ground
  • Lord God (Yeshua? YHWH in the body prepared for Him from the foundation of the world?) forms man of the dust of the ground
  • Breathes into his nostrils the breath of life
  • Man becomes a living being
  • Formed by the Lord God (Yeshua?)
  • Put the manthe Lord God(Yeshua?) formed into the Garden in Eden
  • Put the man in the Garden to dress it and keep it
  • Permitted to eat of every tree of the Garden, except the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
  • The Man is alone and it is not good
  • Adam calls all the beasts, names them, and searches for his mate
  • Lord God(Yeshua?) puts Adam in a deep sleep
  • Lord God(Yeshua?) takes a rib from Adam's side
  • Lord God(Yeshua?) makes a woman from the rib and brings her to the man
  • She is bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh
  • They are both naked and not ashamed

Notice the following in Genesis 3:5-24 after taking of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil:

  • Adam and Eve's eyes are opened
  • They now know they are naked
  • They clothe themselves and hide from the presence of the Lord God
  • The Lord God asks where they are (seeming display of locality or physical presence)
  • The Lord God walks in the Garden
  • Adam and Eve hear the voice of the Lord God
  • Adam is afraid because he is naked
  • Notice the serpent is also in the Garden of Eden
  • Adam, Eve, and the Serpent and their seed and how they are brought forth are changed
  • The serpent is cursed
  • Their relationship to the ground is changed; it is cursed for their sake
  • Adam/Eve don't appear to be cursed, but they are told they will return to the dust out of which they came
  • They will eat of it in sorrow all the days of their lives
  • In the sweat of their faces they will eat bread till they return to the ground
  • Lord God makes them coats of skins and clothes them
  • The Lord God (Yeshua?) states "Man is become as one of us".  Does the Lord God (Yeshua?) have the ability to consume the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil without it affecting Him negatively?
  • The Lord God is now concerned that Adam and Eve will take of the Tree of Life in their fallen and cursed condition and live forever
  • The Lord God expels them from the Garden to till the ground and keep them away from the Tree of Life

So if we follow the logic on this YHWH is able to eat of the both the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil without negative consequence, but Adam and Eve have violated the command of the Lord God with terrible outcomes.Remember they are made in the image of YHWH.

Notice Yeshua is frequently criticized for healing on the Sabbath. He also explains the necessity of saving life and the appropriateness of doing so even on the Sabbath.

Matthew 18:For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. 12How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? 13And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

I would submit the possibility that the Lord of the Sabbath is Yeshua (YHWH in Un-fallen Flesh) in the account of Genesis 1:26, Hebrews 10:5, and I Peter 1:20. The account of Genesis 2:7 is the forming of Adam and Eve’s flesh by the Lord God.I realize the magnitude of this proposition and have not fully reviewed the implications of this theory. So it remains just that, an idea for review. Here are some other ideas to ponder.Could our failure to identify the first and the last Adam in the Beginning have caused the Sanhedrin's failure to recognize the Lord of the Sabbath, YHWH's flesh?  This failure to identify YHWH’s prepared body in Eden could be the reason why the Sanhedrin condemned Yeshua for blasphemy.

Apparently Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel had no problem with YHWH being in Unfallen Flesh and even eating with Him and gazing upon His face.

Exodus 24:9Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

There is no way they could behold YHWH in all His glory and live.So how did these men see YHWH and eat and drink with Him?

Exodus 33:16For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Apparently they were in the presence of Yeshua, Lord of the Sabbath in Eden, YHWH in the Un-fallen Flesh, the Last Adam, the Angel of YHWH.

I would request that those who have time review these scriptures using the Chumash, Tanach, and the Restoration Scriptures for the Brit Chadasha to shed more light on these ideas.

Does the Lord of the Sabbath finish the work of YHWH?

Hebrews 4:2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

John 17:3,And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John 4:33, Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

John 19:29,Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Ephesians 2:10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 3:8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Colossians 1:13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Revelations 4:8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

If the scriptures are true, Yeshua is the Author and Finisher of our faith and He will complete the work He began in us.  All things were created by and for Him.  He was before all things and the firstborn of all creatures.

Philippians 1:For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

He is the Aleph and the Tav. He began it and He will finish it.

Revelations 22:And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
